It improved when sealed to ported on 400 watts in the new box.. then the new amp really set it off....

Well, I went from a bigger sealed box around 1.8 cu ft to a 2.2ish at 32hz box... Well, got louder... Seemed to be more crisp and punchy... With the sealed box in my car it was loud but ported seemed to be louder and more accurate..It still sounded great in the sealed, but it really shines in ported with the higher power IMO.. But honestly, This is the first ported box I have heard other than with something like an L7... so maybe I just prefer the sound of ported boxes but did not know it up until this point

I am using dynamat extreme no complaints from over here.. especially since I found 5 bulk packs in my garage unopened!

You know what strikes me odd? When the Mags first came out everybody said "they can't go low" or "they sound incredible but lack low end"... The Brahma was just LOUD to them and the Mag was quiet..... Now you go on forums and read, the Brahma is more of an sq sub while the Mag gets LOUD.... I find that very ironic myself.... ok I'm done now.

That is terrible. Wonder if they will even use the name? Such a shame!

Recently purchased a Avionixx AXT-1200.2 for a great price off ebay. Now I have matching amps . Well within minutes of receiving the package, I install the amp which takes 15 minutes tops... Fire it up, have some trouble find I had set it on High pass instead of Low pass :thud: .. But get everything straightened out and let her rip. best way to describe what happened next : WOW.... I really wasn't expecting a HUGE gain from 400 to 1200 watts, but boy, this thing just drops LOW in the ported box... Just when I think I have the claw all figured out, throws me a curveball, almost makes me want to get into SPL Thanks Nick for such a wonderful product that just keeps getting better and better. Oh I helped my brother deaden his car... Upwards of 175 sq ft. of dynamat extreme in there.... Not a single rattle though. We did it over a week span, the doors took 2 days If I remember correctly. I know I am gonna have to do mine soon, but I guess I'll concentrate on the hatch to stop the main rattles back there. Should be fun

For the Tru question.... here is a new Tru Board... TruTech Forum Another thing you need to think about is placement of equipment and size of it all. Obviously you have to wait until your new vehicle is purchased, but going with larger amps and with the size of the subs you have to choose from, you maybe want to use some smaller amps. The Tru amps aren't very small, But so far is sounds like you have a good idea of what you want and what you're going with, good luck with the car search and everything else. Jordan

Well since you have 7's 4.5's and tweets listed, you're going three ways I would assume. Theres not really much to choose there.. The amps and subs are your toughest choice. I don't really have experience with any of the amps besides the Alpines, and I flat out love those.... I think we discussed the subwoofer issue somewhere else, and pretty much I think I told you, wouldn't want to make your decision It really depends on what you look for in a woofer though, and I don't think you would need 2-12 Mags, especially if you are just looking for SQ. I am interested, but I can't say I would buy? It really depends on what direction I take on my car right now... I want to get some performance stuff for it, IE Cam Headers etc. etc. I'm sure if I had the money and you had them in stock I would buy them though lol

I love mags, w7s are great woofers, and I haven't heard an XXX but the other RE woofer I heard was also great sounding. No matter which way you go you are going to get "something that will scare you friends." I personally can't justify the w7 price, and as stated internet companies are the place to look. I say you buy one of each woofers and see which you like best then sell the other 2 and buy another of the one you kept

midbass is LARGE, midrange is large, EVERYTHING is large....
