yessir.....

pretty much the same specs I built for Jacob's car, and his sounded great, so I went with what I know.
-
build pics are kind of boring, but here you go:
-
2.2 cubic ft, tuned to 35hz
-
You going to have a booth, or just going to check out the new stuff coming out?
-
Anything that uses an Allen key sucks!!!!!!! When I have to hook up multiple large runs of speaker wire into spring clips, I get banana plugs, they make the job very easy. I think every woofer with spring terminals should have the banana plug spot in the bottom, for people like me!!!!!
-
Any hatchback vehicle I have ever tried firing the port up in with the woofer has not worked too well unless I am tuning over 45hz. Keep in mind this is just a generalization because all cars have different peaks. If you can get away with firing the woofers back with the ports that is what will work best. In a TC is doubt that would be happening though if your working with 15s or 18's. A 12" woofer is a tight squeeze in height in a tC firing back. The hatch narrows down in height near the back, so getting anything large in a tC with a proper alignment is tough.

the jeep is still in the lanes, not sure on the subs, they've probably upgraded to the 99Z's
-
Damn, on the edge or something? You know I'm just poking you a little, don't get so pissy about it.
-
You need a 6.0GPA to be on the team. Study up, we dont want dumb people! Hahaha just jokin! Ah, so it has nothing to do with actually competing, which would explain things.................
-
He's in Penn Yann, NY, wherever that is......
-
My Stratus was rather viscious with a single 12" sub in it.
-
we just need to remind Jacob to blow his nose before he burps the truck again..... just wasn't right watching the snot fly out of his nose when he hit it.
-
so, with the other 4 amps in, and the driver's door open, we're going to see you doing bass boxing at SBN right?
-
I think I'm just going to hold out for the Nightshades now. I have 2 SPL vehicles now, one I'm building for DB Drag Street Max 1-2, and the Stratus for NSPL Trunk Modified, and I'm trying to build both at the same time, so waiting on the Nightshades would be a good thing for me, gives me a chance to work on the truck.
-
yep, I locked up a sub in testing. We know around what it metered with a single amp, but never got to really let it rip. Tried to rebuild, but it just didn't work out, found a fatal flaw in the way we built the bandpass.....

simple port question, my first ported enclosure...
stratusrt01 replied to Xibalba's topic in Fi Technical
yes, you divide it in half, and then figure out tuning based on having 2 ports half the area. -
You don't play around, just a couple hours ago, you had them in the truck on the way back, and now they're shipped already? Once again, you set the standard for all car audio companies.
-
my car's wired with all 12 gauge wire for the comps. Only problem is pulling 4 runs through the driver's side factory wire boot beside the power windows, locks and mirror wiring.
-
You sure this time??????
-
I had my Eclipse do that same thing. I checked and double checked all the wiring. Ended up being the dome light shorting out when the bass hit, and cutting everything off for a second, then it would all come back on.

My attempt to smoke my tail lights(05 Civic sedan)
stratusrt01 replied to fbi90909's topic in Photography
exactly how I did mine a while back. You do have to have a ton of patience, and yes, it freaked me out when the clear fogged up also. Nice Tutorial, too bad you can't really show all the time involved in this simple mod. -
I was clicking around because I'm bored being the only one here at work today, and saw that the SSA chat actually works here, all the others are blocked. Just wish there was someone in there to talk to
-
Just wondering if anyone had tried these yet? The specs seem to fit well into my plans, I've got about 450rms to play with at 4 ohms in a new project.

Thanks for the support Jacob.
