Not to be rude, but that's all that's really out there. There isn't much need for different ones. I suppose if you really want a different one, buy a stinger volt meter and then take it apart and make it look how you want to. But i am guessing you don't want to do that much work for a volt meter. So i recommend just getting a stinger

the carpet does come out in one piece for my celica. but do you raise the floor like 2"s or what? I believe the saz1500d is over 2" in height, so that wouldn't work for ya now would it The more space between the amps and false floor, the more heat dissipation and cooling. Im thinking of rasing the floor about 4 inches. As far as integrating a sealed enclosure with the floor? Do I just set the box on top of the false floor or do you guys have anymore ideas? You could always build the encloser to fit your trunk space. As in, you could build the box to fit the part under the carpet, have the sub firing towards the roof, then to finish it, put a false floor around the sub. Make it look nice and maybe even sparkle lol?

For heat dissipation and cooling = What you could do, but which would take a bit of work. Put in the false floor and amp rack. Carpet over all of it make it look "pretty." Then get small squares of 2x4's and screw them in to where your amp would normally screw in to the amp rack. So this way, you are actually raising up the amp and putting more space between the amp rack and the amp itself. I hope that's not too confusing...

Well for sure I am going, i am doing park and pound and normal SPL event. So is a fellow SSA member Cory. I think you should come lol

X2. That's how almost everyone does it
-
All good man! I ended up just working on my box all day. Noon to eleven at night haha... Hey TRP, are you going to the MECA event?
-
Would anyone be interested on going over tonight? Maybe like 6-8?
-
Oh, i was thinking other then the MECA day. Because i'm sure that will be a super busy day for everyone. Unless people want to, i have no problem with that either

Hey also, to deviate a little bit from the current subject. I was wondering if any one else in the Arizona (or anywhere i guess lol) SSA team would like to go to the Scottsdale pavilions with me this Saturday? That's where i met clay and there is always at least some other people with systems there. Plus this would be a good way to get our name out, meet each other, EAT!, and just be chill. Let me know if your in! This calls for a convoy into it, or at least someone to save everyone else spots lol! Also an FYI, for those of you who don't know about it, this happens every Saturday. I will post up a link, again this would be really good exposure! http://www.scottsdalepavilions.com/Events/mcdonalds-rock-n-roll-classic-car-show-every-saturday-from-4-8pm.html No, this is not just for "Rock n' roll classic cars." There are HUGE trucks, corvettes, jeeps, ricers, imports, motorcycles, custom cars, etc. etc. So don't think this isn't for us!
-
Great job man! Glad to hear you are liking the sub!
-
Why don't you just meet there, seems easier? It would be easier. Just would be hella legit if our whole team rolled in together, IMO I used to go to the pavilions quite often and do demo's after hours. was a good time. Hey man, let me know when you go down there! I work on the weekends but every now and again i get it off! Yeah i knew exactly what you meant. I know that not everyone will enjoy each other but i would be cool if i could finally meet another SSA team member other then Clay. Not that i don't like him, i just don't know who else we have and i haven't heard your guys bangin systems yet!
-
Haha good points! But i was just thinking even like meeting every saturday night and hang out with each other. Also, sometime soon, we should ride out to the scottsdale pavillions and rep SSA there! Also, so we all want to drive to the MECA thing together?
-
Bump bump for some locations we could meet!
-
Dude, i saw this topic and just saying. Hell yeah. SSA IS the shit for sure! Oh and congrats to the OP lol

review of DC Powers customer service
DarkTinman replied to j-roadtatts's topic in DC Power Engineering
Just again goes to show that they are about customer service and that they are there to help. Taking time to make sure questions are answered. My 250xp recently broke also, i called it in and they told me that they are getting new casing and that they would also upgrade me back to a 270xp for free. I am very pleased with the customer service they put in and how dedicated they are to fixing problems. 5 stars in my book DC power! -
Broken case on 250XP. New Design in the works?
DarkTinman replied to j-roadtatts's topic in DC Power Engineering
Hey another question for you. I talked to Kyle and he is gonna hook me up with the new improvements once they come in. But, if i am hearing belt squealing, i tighten the belt, correct?? I know it sounds REALLY stupid but i was talking to other people and they said to loosen it. So today, when putting my stock alternator i tested it. Loosing obviously made the belt squeal due to the lack of tension and grip. So i am wondering, is it different with the DC alt? I wouldn't THINK so but i don't know why people are telling me to loosen it. To late now obviously lol -
Alright. I do have to admit, i am REALLY surprised so many people are down for this. I was thinking we should do a small get together during the week and then sometime for before the meet to make sure we know each other and just hang out, not to blast woofers but to chill and be comfortable at the meet with each other. As weird as that sounds... Anyone have suggestions for a meet spot?
-
Well yes, one for saftey reasons. Another is so that the box is shaking with the car. Instead of the box shaking in the car. If that kinda makes sense? And i don't know if i should share because some of these tips might put me on top haha! That's pretty cool dude! Yeah i know what you mean! He has so much information! Thanks! For safety reasons and extra support, I would hate to have a wall flying at me during an accident. just my .02 Yeah i just requoted him but yeah. Thanks man. Haha yeah it does right? Thanks for being honest. I plan on putting a amp to power the front stage. Also i will be making custom doors to hold the speakers and i will be adding tweeters. It's a step by step process so i hope you don't think that i am done

And for my second suprise

And my mess in the of cords, plus a 8 inch MTX. Can you spot it? lol.

Broken case on 250XP. New Design in the works?
DarkTinman replied to j-roadtatts's topic in DC Power Engineering
Cool that's exactly what happened to mine... -
Haha it's the obsession that drove me to it. I don't really think about how much my car is getting torn up. I think of it as a upgrade haha. Yeah for sure man! Glad i could help! Haha, no problem! Haha funny guy! Yeah just blue dawn man, and a vacuum really. Plus water... haha 3 things then.

And thanks for the compliments! Sorry i thought i added that in the last post, but I'm pretty sure it would be overkill if i quoted everyone who said good job and said thanks. I will if you want though lol. But if you guys see anything that you think needs to be done or have anything that i might be doing, say something! This is my first build and I don't know everything. Even if you have ideas about something I'm doing. I honestly appreciate constructive criticism!
