7000 watt electrical
MikeMartel replied to Lschevy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ok. I'll chime in. I have a stock alternator, and 4k rms right now. I have 4 group 31's in the back with little voltage drop. On 7k. You should be fine with a single HO alt and 4 group 31s. IMO -
I've hears that the ddz1 is meant for only burping purposes and won't be useful in a daily setup at all.

Speaker installation question about speed nuts
MikeMartel replied to [email protected]'s topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The speed nut should be so that it slides overtop of the metal with one side infront, and one side behind. All speed nuts iv ran into are a clockwise thread -
With that kind of budget, I personally would work in a good 4 or 2 channel amp and just worry about getting a pair of fronts, deffinatly 6.5" not 6x9 and wouldn't worry about getting any in the rear deck. It's hard to tell you what speakers to get. Go out to a bunch of local shops, listen to as many speakers as possible and pick the ones you think sound beat

New alternator or ..??
MikeMartel replied to riored4v's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well it is.. But that will give you a general idea.. And also, no need to turn your gain up because you can think it can take more.. 75% gain is typically very high and unless you know what to listen for you can end up severely clipping your sub and end up wrecking it. -
Nope. Not high, it should be good to go.

How to calculate port length in this design?
MikeMartel replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Sean iv got a buddy who has a c-pillar wall very similar to that. 16 10's though and the port opening is on more of an angle but it does very well.. -
Lots of work for 3hz.

Getting closer to that 150 man?

That huge ass skull in the middle is probably great for sound quality coming from the mid.

Such a huge enclosure in a trunk.. Especially for only two 12s! Looks sick though

Not too sure about that.. Probably would hear a difference with a 5500.
