Looking at Changing Up Cars :o!

Valid point. -
Well.. Since Im 20 now, going to be moving out on my own within the next couple years, going to have a job, ect. Im thinking about selling my 04 Impala, and get something a little more fuel efficient, and to be honest Im thinking about maybe a 94-98 civic. I never would have thought id be buying a civic, but they are fairly inexpensive, easy to work on, and very fuel efficient. Not really asking for people to persuade me either way but if you want to put in your 2 cents go ahead. . Just thought id tell you a potential idea.

Ok, here is a little point that I should have told you. I have the 3400.. Not the 3800, they are notorious for both intake gaskets and head gaskets, two big jobs. Im not sure, still just an idea that im thinking about. -

OH alright, understood. -
bad volatge problem

Well if autozone says you have 2 bad batteries.. That could really be messing with your voltage. Why trust mechanics at one shop compared to another? Unless they have done something to prove that they are wrong. -

Hm.. Well if your driving and your only at 12.2v, Id say it might be a bad alternator. -
Here is the little back story.. I bought my car off my dad, who previously installed some aftermarket audio system. I decided i wanted to upgrade the components and he said that he has Infinity Reference 5.25" components in there already so I decided to go with the Bravox CS50k (5.25") component set for ease of install. Today, I go to install the Bravox's and notice that the Infinity's are indeed 6.5". So now iv payed $150 dollars for a downgrade in size.. Great.
-
Not a problem man
-
Wait.. Yeah, what kirill said
-
Alirght thats true.. Ill tell you what its like after i install them. haha
-
Alright.. I feel like shit todday so its defiantly not getting finished now.
-
Well yes, im going to need to do that.. Im just worried about the lack of midbass the 5.25" are going to have compared to the 6.5" iv been listening to for 3 years..

Well, looks like its time for me to start doing this rebuild instead of constantly talking about it. I know Steve will be happy, I dont have any pictures or have actually started it yet but Im about to pick up my Bravox Components and a spool of XP flex 0 gauge so thats the starting point. Heres a little outline of my current setup and what will be done after I rebuild. Current: 18" BTL N2 (5.5cuft box, 32hz tune) Infinity Reference Component Speakers American Bass VFL 100.1 Amplifier Phoenix Gold Titanium 500.4 Amplifier 4 gauge Wire Capacitor (fail) NEW: New ported box, 6.75 cuft, tuned to 32hz and will ported into the cabin. (18" BTL N2) Bravox CS50k Component Speakers Amp Rack (Make everything look purty) Installing Kinetik HC1400 (Bye bye Capacitor!) Full run of 0 gauge and BIG 3 upgrade
