  1. Ok, I hear ya. I'm looking for a good comp. set for under $500. I run CDT's in my truck now and I've also used the Massonics MBQ Q line. Not the newest one's and not the Sig's. Both were very decent but I am ready to try something new. I want to find a comp. set with a good mid range and not bright or ear piercing on the highs.
  2. I run the IDQ's in my truck and they sound better that anything else I've ever heard, but that's not saying a hole lot. What have you used that is good for SQ?
  3. The xtant is a 3 channel amp 75x2 + 150x1 at 4ohms or 150x2 + 300x1 at 2 ohms. The system is going in a Ford 350 dully. The doors have 6x9's. My original thought was to run ID's 2ohm 6.5 comps in the front and doing nothing in the back doors. Then running a single IDQ 10" or 12". Also thought of running 2 sets of 4ohm comps or coaxials in front and back doors. I haven't decided on a HU yet. Mainly just looking for one more geared for SQ and one that will run an ipod. I have plenty of time on this build and am not commited to anything but the xtant 603x. Any thought's would be appreciated.
  4. I now run a PPI DCX 1000.1 running 2 IDQv3 subs. A shop in town has had this US amp MD23 sitting on the shelf for a few years now never been used and has marked it way down. Comparing the specs it seems like the US amp would be better for SQ but it is an A/B so the PPI is probably more efficient. PPI S/N 80%, US amp S/N 105%, PPI damping 50, US amp damping 600. I also like the fact that I can run my subs at 2ohms instead of 1 ohm. Anyways this is something I don't have to do but it would be nice to try something new. I don't want the US amp if it's going to drain my electrical system real bad. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Box build for an IDQv3 12" sub

I was going to divide the two sides
  6. My brother is getting an IDQv3 12" sub. Going to be powered by an arc audio 600w amp. Down the road he's going to get another sub and another amp to match. Our budget is drained so I'm going to attempt to build the box. I wanted to go ahead and build a dual 12" ported box tuned at 30Hz. and just use one side for now. Any recommended web sites and pointers would be greatly appreciated. Some questions I have are what's the best to hold the box together. Pre Drilled hole and screws, or staples, or glue, or all the above. Round port vs. rectangular. Which direction to aim the port. Should I aim subs toward the back glass tilted slightly up.

    Person search

I'm trying to contact Charles from G-Vegas NC used to work at Techno Audio. There is a show this weekend just wanted to see if you were going to be there running any sundown equipment. We meet a few months back at the store I was the guy running the CDT audio equipment.
