    Just beat Halo III

I got it a week after it came out and it took me about 10 days to beat it on normal. I have been playing on line, and just started replaying it in Legendary mode and have been working on the first few stages for 3 weeks now. Bob
  4. I couldn't stop laughing the whole time that I was reading this. YOU GOTTA SEE THIS THREAD Bob
  5. Does anyone know what happened to CYV? They have been down for a while, are they coming back? Bob

So we finally bought an Eco friendly car

Why do I keep flashing back to the South Park "Smug" episode???? But seriously great job on the new car it looks great, that shade of green is really nice looking, it's high mileage will offset my new fuel guzzling V8 in the CLK. Bob
  7. Price Drop!! Now $11,000.00 Guys, I really need to move this by the end of November. If anyone needs some pictures please go to PICTURE LINK or email me for more if needed. Bob
  8. Moderators - if this post violates any rules please delete it and let me know. Thanks Guys, I have not been able to compete in SQ competitions or get to any car shows for the last year because of my job. So, I've decided to sell my SQ BMW. I have it listed on E46fanatics BMW Link But I really want the car to go to a car audio enthusiast which is why I am posting this here. I am a member of CYV forum and also have the car listed there. It is at a lower price on the CYV site CYV Link than on other sites and anyone from SSA will get the CYV price. Thanks, Bob

I need ideas for a badass bass race system

Just an FYI on enclosures and number of drivers. One competitor that did not understand the relationship between the box and the drivers put 40 8" subs in his Probe. yes they fit, but he could not understand why he could not get a SPL of over 139 with the power he had and the number of drivers. He also kept wondering why people with 2 or 4 12" or 15" subs could pull much higher SPL numbers. Multiple people tried to explain that a mid quality sub in a perfectly designed and mapped out enclosure will out perform an excellent sub in an enclosure that is too small or too big. So.. Here's the short version, go with fewer subs in the correct enclosures that match the power you are using to achieve maximum excursion and therefore maximum SPL. Trust the multiple opinions on this board, some of us have been competing for a long time and have seen a wall of subs get blown away by 4 12" subs. Go with 4 subs in a really well engineered enclosure with a good amp (I even know someone selling a JL 1000/1 pretty cheap ) I hope this helps, Bob

    I need new headphones.

I have tried the Grado but I have always had problems with the way they sit on my ears and head. They always tended to move out of position with any head movement. I did like the way they sounded, even though I prefer the Sennheiser for detail and clarity. Bob
  11. Thanks Denim, I've been wondering what was going on with the site. Bob
  12. bandwidth exceeded....I'm not surprised, the one thread has over 500,000 hits within the last few days, this guy is without a doubt the most owned guy on the net right now. MrRay13, at least check out the T-shirt site that they made from the guy who posted; It's funny as well. Bob
  13. I know, not only have they completely raped the guy, made T-shirts with his "invention" on them but someone from the site put his car for sale on Craig's List. Bob

What is best for an overall loud SQ setup

3 10's sealed with the correct box and power will be the most accurate for SQ. You'll need to build the box so that the amp you are using can power them to full excursion but not let them get sloppy. Dan Wiggins set me up with all of the specs on how to do this for my old setup with my Brahma and it sounded excellent for SQ with both 500 W and 1000 W but was cleaner and tighter with the 1000 W and smaller box.
  15. It gets better. there is now a T-shirt with the "turbo" design. http://www.gmmodernmuscle.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2804 T-Shirt website

Rolled my car trying to hit an Armadillo.

Karma dude, glad your OK but next time you want to be stupid just go into the woods with a sharp stick and find a bear to poke with it. It's much more of a fair fight rather than a 2 ton weapon Vs. a 2 pound animal. Oh if you try the bear thing make sure to strap a camcorder on your head to follow all of the action. Also let us know where you'll be so I can show up with my GO BEARS jersey. Bob

    I need new headphones.

I have always loved Sennheiser headphones. I have the Sennheiser HD-600's that I power with an Antique Sound Lab tube headphone amp. Incredible combo but pricey. The Sennheiser HD-555 are a great set for a reasonable price. Bob

You want audio? This is pretty flippin' crazy!

I have a tube powered headphone amp, but that guy's tube setup is totally incredible! Bob
  20. using a router on the port exit will help reduce some of your port noise as well by reducing turbulence at the 90 degree edge. Bob

    Finals : 153.3db

Nice job on the numbers. I would get those batteries locked down though, not only could they become deadly projectiles to you or someone outside the truck but if they move and short out they could cause an instant fire. Bob
  22. For CYV members and SSA, Lower Price - $12,000.00 I really want to sell the baby in the next 2 weeks so if you know anyone who is interested have them email me and say that they heard about it on CYV or SSA and they get her for $12,000.00. I really don't want to go lower since the Kelly Blue book lists a STOCK car at $9,160.00 for "Good" and $9,940 for "Excellent" and I've got over $15K into her. I'm putting her on Craig's List for New Jersey on Friday afternoon but before I do I'll make sure to check my email and PM's in case anyone you know wants her. The best email for me is [email protected] since that goes to my CrackBerry phone. Thanks guys, Bob
  23. The front stage is Dynaudio MD100 tweeters and Adire Audio Koda 6 1/2 in. midbass . I use the Alpine PRA-H400 as an active crossover and a hand built Zobel network in line with the tweeters. The JL Audio JL300/4 Bi-Amps the set and the PRA-H400 also time aligns the system for dead center imaging from the drivers seat. Bob
  24. I just added some interior pictures as requested. You can see them here Interior Pictures
