dude more port area holy crap how big is it? 3x3? for the 12" try to get 1.8-2cubes with about 14" sq per cube

This is being built now.. I'd say after on vehicle testing, will be available in 3 weeks tops.. We're setting this up to run either a pair of our 320HP's, or a stock sm case and one 320HP.. Im not sure *yet* if we can run one lg case, and one sm case, but I doubt it on the S10.. Just FYI though, 2 of our 320's will do about 270 or so at idle which is realistically the limit of what the engine will actually turn at idle.. unless i missed it i guess we're still all waiting for one of these dual alt brackets. I have one large case Gm alt already and would want one of yours to go with a dual alt kit.

I've seen results on **** that rising to .9ohms and at 12.6 volts IIRC it did 12k+ And also you said that OFC can handel 250-300 amps at 10ft... WTF are you doing to have runs that are 10ft to your amps? No one should use runs that long. i would say 5 ft tops. the shorter the wire the less resistence and more current carrying possibilites. Its rated at 8k because their load couldn't handel more power.

Thank you for coming in here Nick. You said exactly what was going to. The coil moving within the gap and having forced and compressed air constantly moving around it is what cools the coil. When you "clip" and the coil stops(you cant visually see it but watch it on a scope) the heat builds up exponentially due to no air movement. Granted yes there is air in the gap surrounding the coil but its not pressurized and in motion. The air being compressed is colder (dont believe me fill a compressor with air and about 30PSI and open the release vavle and feel the air temp) then the ambient non-compressed air. So yes "clipping" does kill the sub due to heat

Scott will the NEO SSD's have more xmax then the regular ferrite models?
-
It doesn't look ruff at all the glue joints done by Fi are perfect nothing ruff about them.. dont like it buy the Havoc from AA
-
If you want Q's id suggest the Q's the SSD's i've played with has some trouble playing the lows and making them feel like they are in your face. The BL's will have more motor force have higher SPL but i haven't played with them i dno how the lows are on them

the SQ is great on every BTL and Mayhem i've heard thus far it will sound great and get loud at the same time now i hope you have the electrical to power the amp for this sub. Upgraded Alt, Big 3 and a couple good size AGM batteries
-
Thanks i was going to come in and say that i would know since i have 4 lol i would try 4-5 cubes sealed.. should be pretty flat.
-
O hell yea thanks man! 18" please
-
i would make pods in the stock door locations to make them sealed up which will help the midbass come in. I would try to go active over using another processor thats just one more thing to mess up look into the pioneer or eclipse they're great units are with the abilities of those units it'll beat out a processor or you could get the AQ4x90 instead and use its bandpass crossovers to setup your midbass. and then the other channel for your tweeters remember you dont have to turn the gain all the way on the tweeter side but i've played with the AA carbons and they'll take the power and they are VERY clear
-
alot of the setup comes from the enclosure and from how similar the N2 is to the Gen 2 BTL the SQ is great i loved the performance of all the BTL's i've heard just set it up properly
-
damn right they're uncharged when they are built lol Dont need the law suit for when someone's fingers get smashed between the steel and magnet slugs
-
Just bought two blk friday X's for a home theater setup..

this will be my next project once stationed ill have about 1000 watts of bass for my home tuned very love with maybe an 18 or 2 12's -
If you do own an engineering company AND possess the know-how to contribute in your company I would consider you in extreme minority nowadays. It's all about opening a company then putting your feet up and letting the cash roll in right? It's a shame really, nobody has passion for their work anymore. Now about that paper bag problem I think we should wire up a BtL with ninja stars on the dustcap and burp our way out lol thats the great thing about Fi/AA they do know how to do it all and they do it in house! Customer for life right here
-
i say run it at 4 ohms or run 2 12" Fi BTL's at 2 ohms
-
your box looks great! i've been wanting to mess a Fi X for a long time now
-
Fink ill have a pair to play with soon if you want to meet up somewhere and we can try them out
-
i love my buddy's blazer with 2 18" mayhems! If i get one of these woofers i WILL invert them
-
Thats becaue they do the machining in house FTW!
-
with the proper person behind the volume knob and setting the amp and designing th box Fi subs can easily go more then rms. Just listen to Scott and you'll be fine. I had a Q w/ BP on a AQ 2200 @ 1ohm loved it
-
Scott get the N1's up
-
Well i have to agree on the AMAZING price of these.. Nick told me i'd be surprised and ill be damned if he was right lol Also Nick or Scott would you be able to release any prices on the N1? trying to get my shit figured out and i want to be the first in MD reping the Fi Neo's Always I love Fi/AA Scott and Nick do so many things better the other "leading" companies in the audio industry and it shows in their products and this only shows it more!!!

hahaha i was waiting for your comment lol Comparing T3 to Fi is ummm
