    New BTL not very loud...

Voltage dropping to 12.5v isnt good imo. With a 225a alt and 2500wrms amp on music (doubtful you even come close to that rms rating), you shouldnt really have considerable voltage drop. You went from a RF amp to Sundown. Sundown amps are no joke. You may want to consider upgrading or reworking your electrical wiring if needed. You might even need to look into XS Power battery up front and another XS Power battery near the amp. I have a feeling you are starving your Sundown amp. Maybe your enclosure foe the sub is less than optimal. Good luck Whats wrong with voltage at 12.5? Also, why wouldn't he have a considerable voltage drop? Assume at idle the 225a only puts out 150ish, the voltage is going to drop when the alternator is reaching its output limits. I don't see how he is "starving" the amp either. With the information the op supplied he changed amplifiers and upgraded to one with 2.5 times more potential output. Therefore the electrical requirement is 2.5 times more. But.........no additional electrical upgrades were done to support all the added power. 12.5v is basically the resting voltage of his battery. This means, to me, that his amp is pulling 100% power out of the alt and them dipping into battery reserves. Dead battery anyone? 13v or higher for me or my systems is turned down. There are many unknown variables here, but my opinion stands. Op, how hot does the amp get? Pretty hot I bet. Sooo he needs at least 2.5 more 225 alternators just to meet your standards? haha, that amp does rated at 12.5v. Hes fine

    4th order build continued (M5)

that is what it looks like, man i hate to see stuff end in bad blood. heck I wish I had a TL and lived in Florida and i would pop down there and ask if i could run your sweep on his car lol! problem(s) solved. wait didn't you say your sweep was a good 2minutes long so this whole thread could have been avoid for 2 GOSH DARN minutes with a TL? The owner of the vehicle doesn't own a TL, he has to find someone close by with one and find the time to meter, or wait for a show.

These guys came across something with this enclosure that works for them in competition ... and they are winning !!! Yb If I was them, I would not give exact specs to their design either ... They aparently have a winning edge with this design. If they give their "TRUE" secrets to their design, then someone will come along, read their designs, and come up with something better and beat them at their own game ... Its not a question if they "went by the book to build this" ... You all are wanting to exploit their tricks of the trade to see if they are cheating, or someone in your competition camp is building something to compete in their class and is wanting the upper hand in competition ... I congratulate them for coming up with something "out of the ordinary" and kicking ASS with it ... Last time, as I recall in competition, thats how and why you play the game ... To WIN ... There is nothing special about their 4th order bandpass, ///M5 is asking them to prove there is something unique about it, and they cannot come up with anything. Maybe because the designers of this enclosure are not even following this argument anymore. They both know what they are doing, and don't need to prove it to a bunch of arrogant bastards. The argument was going no where. ///m5 was side stepping anything asked of him, maybe a few people replying were also side stepping questions asked by m5 and a few others, but the ones doing so were not the designers, nor do they havr anu knowledge of the design besides "I havr heard it and it sounds great". If you haven't noticed neither JBlcamry or Iamamp3pimp(the designers) havr posted in this thread. Totally unbiased opinion seeing as how I have not even hears Ryans malibu.

together? couldnt resist. sorry. meh no worries! impious is a cool kat! notice where he lives! in HELL and I live in Canada! we are clearly the opposite end of the spectrum! (cold vs hot lol) in vs out top vs bottom

I sincerely hope that wasn't the article you were referring to that "proves" sealed enclosures are "the best". Really though, it's 12:30 and I have to go to bed or I would get more depth. No one has said sealed enclosures are "the best" Alan stated that by theory they are the best, and according to the laws of physics they would be best suited for an SPL application.

Crap I was wrong. Pretty simple here guys, I should have figured it out earlier though. If you have an interest in discussing the enclosure fine, if not then I'll step up and just not respond. I made one very simple point and that was there are better ways to meet Malibu's goals. From that point on you all emotionally went nuts and just want to attack everything I type for any reason, but never address the point at hand. I am sorry I fell into that trap and responded which of course fueled this further. At this point I am done fueling the fire, but still more than glad to discuss the enclosure. If you want to keep skirting it you can do it without expecting a response from me. Why? why can't we get an intelligent response from you at all? You make all of these arrogant statements, acting like you know something that Robin/Dylan don't. I have yet to see ANY response from you on what is exactly wrong with the enclosure specified. You say the math/physics used in the design are flawed, but I have yet yo see YOUR solution to the problem. You have not made ONE single post with a solution, reasoning, or even so much as a tip to what they "should" have done to make a "non-one not wonder" or so you call this design. Casey asks you to show why you're so "credible" in this situation and you get all butthurt and change the subject? I'm not saying that you are WRONG but lets hear what they did wrong, what they could have done differently, why they should have done it differently. Not one of the posts I have read from you contain one bit of useful information, other than "You did it wrong, Id do it different and it would be way better........but im not going to tell you what, why, how nanny nanny booboo"

Fact is it could be anything, id check ALL wiring with a dmm. But those box specs sound off as well.

    New BTL not very loud...

12 inches of port per cube isn't enough imo, id go with at least 16"^2 per f^3.but idk how much of a problem it would be, maybe the btl just doesn't like that enclosure. Could be the amp. 12.5 isn't that bad of a drop, that sundown is probably doing rated at 12.5v

Whats the soecs on your enclosure? Volume? Tuning? Port area? What vehicle?
