    I actually replied to this Friday, I dont know why it didn't appear?? We can do pretty much anything you want in this depending on your budget and requirements from a 230PRO up to a 270XP.. The only limitation is to what you really need and how much you want to spend. Let me know what your looking for and I will get you the best available we have. Rob

    Duly noted. As I'm not the one doing these, I will make sure they get addressed. As for the bracket itself not lining up, the jig we use to weld is an OEM bracket, I have NO idea how it's not dead on? The wrong pitch bolt, I will make sure we get some 10x1.25mm bolts in for those, but technically it's not even necessary as the stock bolt can still be used (and is better than any aftermarket bolt fwiw). As for the belt, I'm going to install one this week, I'll settle that one once and for all. This car, and this setup has just been a pain in MY ass, as I get to deal with the feedback, and it's not getting implemented. Just one more thing I'm going to have to be a d*ck about internally, but it WILL get adressed.

  5. Stephan, it will be completely differernt internals.. You dont have a 230 either, pretty sure you got a 270.. Id actually like to have that one back because I'm out, how bout we just trade straight across?? If you can, send me a pic of your alternator mount, I just want to make sure how much room you really have under there.. Rob

    But the problem with that is it will decrease output. Can no idler pulley be made for this setup? Your talking about *maybe* 15 amps at idle, MAYBE, on a bad day.. You have to remember, your down almost a full 1" in diameter from stock, 200 alt RPMs is meaningless at those speeds your turning at idle. You will most likely never notice the difference.. Without it costing ~$150, no.. There's nothing to mount it to (easily) and a whole other bracket would have to be fabbed. And for a one-off piece, it's not even on the radar to do because of whats involved, trust me, I beat this horse here WAY too long. If it could be done easily, it would have been done a LONG, LONG time ago..

    If you want something simple to install with monster idle output, I have a new 200HP that will be a really, really good alt for up to about 2k watts. If you dont mind some extra work to install, you can put a 270XP in there, but it is NOT a fun install at all. We can also do a 320HP in there because you have enough belt wrap to swing it if you want something with lots of top end and decent idle output. The 200HP is hands down the easiest/best choice though. Rob

    It's not your car that's the problem on this one.. What did they send you to bypass the PCM, or are you running the alternator off the PCM? I can help you fix it, just need more specifics.. Rob

    Miguel, this was MY fault.. I pulled up your original ticket and didnt check the actual ticket and followed Stans original reply. We never *had* an alternator for the 300M, just the 300C. In any event, I'll have the alt built tomorrow and just need to get the rear support bracket made so it *should* ship by the end of the week at the latest.. Again, this one's all my fault, I should have checked the info more closely. Either way, you'll have a new 270XP in your hands very, very soon.. Rob

    Chris, I can send you a larger pulley if you would like, that should fix it for you. Eric, I have no idea what was going on with your alt, still brand new and nothing was loose inside.. I'll tear it apart and change the reg just to be sure, and I'm also going to clean up the housing and make sure I mod the others when I do your so there isn't any bracket clearance. Then I'll set it up for the idler and get it off back to you in the next couple days.. Rob

    No, definitely not because I don't want the publicity, it's just as a small town boy from Utah I never thought one day I'd find myself in So-Cal working with guys like that and seeing my company, our work, and our products ending up on tv.. On my list of things I thought would never happen to me, that one wasn't even on the list lol... I guess it was one of those, "did I really see that" moments... Definitely cool tho for sure..

    It was pretty cool to see that, although in all honesty I wasnt quite sure what to think about seeing my company on tv.. We do a lot of work with those guys at WCC and in all honesty they are a really cool great bunch of guys. Their shop is also only about 100x cooler in person than on TV, not to mention the fridges in every office stocked with every flavor of Monster known to man Definitely a great bunch of guys to work with, real easygoing and definitely makes work fun..

    Eric, I know exactly how to fix this, but your going to have to give me some time to fab it up. Basically we're just going to hang a backside idler pulley on the bottom alternator pivot bolt between the alt and crank pulley and put a larger diameter pulley on the alt. There's room there to do it without question and we do it all the time. You have the exact same problem as all Triton V8 Fords, shitty belt path and contact area. It's not that there's any problem with the 4G pulley turning an XP, we do it all the time, you just have to get enough belt wrap on the pulley. You only have 90º contact area there, and it's just not enough surface area. I just wanted to let you know that I hadn't forgot about this, just been thinking about how we're going to fix it.. Rob

    Jared, your brand new 270XP and bracket is all done sitting on the shipping counter. The only thing I don't have is one of the adjuster bolts (the one that goes through the case and has the threaded boss on it) if you have either your stock one or the one that was on your bracket, you can just re-use that and everything else is new..     I saw that come in today and thought that was you when I saw will call on the ticket.. I understand about you being hesitant to order, and like I've told people many, many times for every one bad thing you hear, there is 200 great ones you hear nothing about. I dont know why that is, but it just works out that way. One thing I guarantee you though, you will have the alts and bracket here waiting for you when you come by. I really just wish I was going to be in town to meet you. Either way, they guys will get you taken care of and give you a tour of the shop and show you that what bad you hear is really much ado about nothing. No company is perfect, but man we sure try hard to be, too hard sometimes.. Thanks again for your business and I can't wait for some feedback on the 2 XPs and bracket. :drink40: Rob

    You *can* run a VCM, but it wont be necessary.. Your new alt will do 14.4-14.8v at idle no problem.. The good thing about having monster idle output, is things like low idle dont hurt you like they would if the alternators didn't charge good at idle.. I'm telling you straight up, for what your looking for our new 150 will do all you want and more.. It will do ~160 hot, and at least 110 worst case at idle, hot, even at 600 rpms... Get the alt first, make sure your wiring is upgraded, and then worry about voltage. 99.9% sure you wont even think about it after the alt is installed. Rob

    Jared, I dont think yours did ship and I don't know why. I honestly don't know how one of these alternators didn't get on our build list, but yours didn't. Trust me, I built every single one of the Hondas, if it was on the list, it got built and is shipped. d I'm still at work so I will go build yours now and ship it tomorrow. Phi, your alternator shipped today via 2 day because I forgot to ship it when I said I would, and that was my fault. Also, in Kyle's defense it really isn't as easy as you would think to make a shipping change quickly, not when it involves walking a couple hundred feet from the back of the shop to the office and getting distracted 10 times between points A-B... When FedEx shows up an hour early, it REALLY F's things up especially when your trying to ship 40 packages a day and trying to make sure that ALL 40 of them get bagged, boxed, labeled (on the alternator), with correct paperwork, harnesses, and everything else and then, making sure the right label gets on the right box. With an average process time of ~5 min/package, 40 packages takes a LONG time to do and it's NOT easy. Trust me, you want to see a chinese fire drill, come watch us between 2-5:00 every day. We're putting more and more inventory on the shelf as fast as we can build excess stock so things would ship faster, but it's hard when we have a seemingly finite amount of parts (still waiting on suppliers) and only so much time.. On the upside though, we do have the capability to (when we have parts) build EXTREMELY fast.. I took one order at 4:00 today, at 4:05 the housing was in the mill, at 4:07 my brother was building it, and at 4:12 it was in shipping. Anyways /rant Jared, if you want your alternator for the weekend I'll make sure you have it Saturday, just either call and/or PM Kyle and make sure you let him know if you need it that quick. If not, I'll ship it 2 day. On the upside, I really dont think you guys will have any problems any more. We put a nice solid gusset in the bracket to strengthen it up, and the casting is WAY stronger. It should be the end of the problems on the Accords..
