Thank you sir.. and yes, the 270s will be available, actually that's all that's being built.. These will also ship with belts as well.,

Danny, Kyle must have had the coupon end at midnight last night instead of 11:59 tonight, I'll see if I can get him to fix it today.. To answer your other question, I have 10 of these up on the assembly bench and they will be ready to ship by Thursday... If you can't get the coupon to work, I can still get you the discount if you order by phone, no worries there.. Let me know if that works for you.. Rob

Curt, I Promise you without any doubt you got a 270, despite what the label may have said.. I had to build it because the one we had in stock actually got sold earlier that day so I had to hurry and build one. It may have gotten labeled 250, but it was definitely a 270.. Sorry about the confusion.. Rob

Yes, absolutely.. That is the only way limo builders will run duals generally, so it's actually more popular for us than the with an H/O alt.. If you just put a factory alt in, your literally doubling your output at top end and idle ~300 top end and ~200+ at idle... That beats ANY single alternator hands down.. When your ready, you can always upgrade.. No need to think you HAVE to when in reality adding a second "stock" alternator is FAR better than even our very best single alt... Rob

How big are you looking for?? We actually have a really sweet 200 for this now, and if you *really* want to push it we can do an XP series alt in there as well as a direct bolt on.. Just depends on how much you want to spend and how much power you need.. Rob

? You have PM... I was actually in the middle of typing it while you were posting this...

I just checked, yes we did receive payment via paypal. I actually put this in the queue to build for tomorrow so I should be shipping by wednesday.. Since I don't handle these things, I don't always know what has or hasn't been sold. It is in the works though and will ship this week.. Rob -
To answer your original question, the only difference is the output, 20 amps on top, ~10 or so on bottom. You made the right choice and got the best bang for the buck, use the other $80 on teh audios or have some fun with it. That said, because I know we have 270's in stock (250's are usually built to order) and that's what you'll get shipped, and it will get shipped tomorrow (Friday).. Thanks again for the order and I look forward to a (hopefully) positive review.. Rob

If we don't have an individual part number set up in the dyno then we can't print them for some part numbers which would be your case.. 270XP's all run within about .3% of each other, so if you want something for reference, look here: https://www.dcpowerinc.com/performance_sheets/270-XP.png It won't be more than 1-2 amps above or below those numbers, and in most cases they run within .1-.3 amps of each other unit to unit.. Please let us know what you think when you get it installed.. Rob

That is what FedEx's smart post is supposed to be for, shipping to APO's.. It was the first time we tried to use it, and obviously had issues. I will get it sent USPS priority, not a problem at all. I'm sorry for the mixup. Rob

I did have pics, but I think they were in the group that got lost in the server migrate. if you didn't get this resolved, just send me a PM, post up or give me a call.. Rob -
We can do either 300, 320, 350+ in your car no problem.. Cost wise your going to be mid $600's -mid $700's depending on which one you get. We usually have these in stock to build, we actually do quite a few of them.. Rob

1 month later and I still don't have my alternator.....
DC Power Rob replied to Aldundra's topic in DC Power Engineering
Did you ever get your slipping resolved?? I have 2 alternators in here now, I see where the confusion came from.. One of these years had a 2.25" stock pulley, the other is 2.64".. going from 2.25" to 2" is no problem at all, going from 2.64" to 2", forget it.. I'll double check our BOM's and make sure we have everything correct and make a new one and generate a new part number for the one with the 2.64" pulley.. -

Every time I've tried I just get voicemail, and I haven't had any missed calls from you.. Just give me a call on your way home from work tomorrow or whenever you have a chance, you have my number.. -
The only thing I'm going to say about this is Godsmack nailed it on the head.. I didn't *give* anyone anything, it was exactly as Eric stated. That alternator I waited, and waited, and WAITED for our old machine shop to finish ~6 months or so. It wasn't us dicking anyone around, we were getting the dicking around. In a nutshell Eric got what he got because he was cool about the situation when it blew up, wanted the product, and I wanted a happy customer. As for Austin's alternator, it got fixed ONLY because I'm really not that big of a dick, even though in that case I could have held my ground and not gave 2 shits about it after the treatment my 2 employees got (which is why he got told what he got told).. I could have let that one sit till the end of time before it got fixed, but like I said, I'm just not that big an arseho.. Anyways, I digress.. Moral of the story, there's always 2 sides to every story and if you wanted to be treated good, treat people good, even in a messed up situation.. Now, can we please keep this clean, I dont wanna have to lock this thread...

To my knowledge it was long gone, but after just looking it up I see what the hang up was. We tried to ship it FedEx smart post and had problems getting their system to accept the shipment so it never left.. The problem (internally) was that it showed that it had shipped, so it wasn't on the open sales order list.. I just put it in the open order list and will get it out of here tomorrow one way or the other. I sincerely apologize as I honestly thought this left LONG ago.. Rob
-
I did get his done, just didn't get it shipped in the chaos yesterday.. It will ship Monday for sure.. I put a bigger pulley on it as well which will help with the belt, and it won't affect idle performance much if any. If anything it will be better..
-
I've been trying to give you a call all week, just been extremely busy.. I have all the parts in now so I should be able to ship next week.. I will definitely give you a call early next week and pm you my numbers as well.. Rob
-
We just finished up the 270XP for this today matter of fact.. $599 and they are In stock and ready to ship. 100% direct bolt on, plug and play, and theyare hands down the best alternator you can buy. Let us know if we can help, Rob
-
Miguel, you were NOT lied to, you were given the best information we had that WE were given. Us lying to you COMPLETELY different than giving you the best educated guess on a timeframe based on what we were told. I do not appreciate being called a liar when that's not the case.. For what it's worth, your alternator shipped today as I told you most likely it would and you will have it next week.. Thanks again for your business and your patience.. Rob
-
As soon as we get done with what we have on the lathe the spacers are next.. I had to order some special drills for these, that's what hung us up.. It will either ship tomorrow or Friday though for sure. I also had the pulley offset wrong, so it's going to have a different pulley on it as well.. Rob

Broken case on 250XP. New Design in the works?
DC Power Rob replied to j-roadtatts's topic in DC Power Engineering
What I dont understand is that if these were all made on the same jig, on the same day, and the fact that our jig is an OEM Honda bracket how they are off?? From the (copious) research I did, every single F22 and F23 engine Honda made had the exact same bracket. I think I've had enough BS with this setup and since I dont have any orders, I will figure out something else in the meantime. What i will probably do is just make a billet case that uses the stock bracket which is what i wanted in the first place, but the dumbass hippie machinist wasnt smart enough to figure it out.. I can honestly say that mounting wise, this is the ONE vehicle that finally broke me... -

Dual alternator kit requests...
DC Power Rob replied to DC Power Rob's topic in DC Power Engineering
The bracket for the 4.0 is about halfway done, but I had to put a couple other projects ahead of it that were more pressing. It's probably going to be late June/early July when it gets done. I just have a couple really, really big orders hanging on the stuff ahead of it. Its definitely still a go though. Rob
