Man I just love the look of the Fi logo. Can't wait to see another wall, lol
-
You live in my town!! I didn't think anybody around here had heard of Fi. I'd like to hear the X sometime if you don't mind?
-
Try it, if it doesn't work, try something else. Quit being so dependent, you can figure some things out yourself, I'm not sure why you thought that box would be the proper size in the first place? Trial and error can be fun if you have a positive mindset about it.

Check out db-r's website, last I checked there was a SAZ 3000D, SAZ 3500D and a SAZ 4500D. All of those amps would be a nice upgrade to your system imo. Do one thing at a time though, and start with that box!! Don't get excited to buy another amp just yet, who knows once it all gets working you might find that it's loud enough for you!

Dang looks like it has some pressure in there! What's it meter at?
-
Not to be a perv... but I think you just pulled off a boob trick.

I disagree about the 8. It may overpower stock speakers playing at a reasonable, non-distorted level but not if they're blasting. I've heard stocks keep up with a an HDC ported until almost max volume. It sounded bad but you could hear it over the bass. And to the op, cone area is your friend. 2 12"s ported can surprise you if you've never heard anything like it before. Say i go 2 12" xcons ported, i do feel like they woulod be superrrr loud. I could tune at like 28hz and i know i can always EQ it. But more power would be required as well.. 12" Flatlynes would only require 1500rms if not that, how much better is the SQ with the IA's over the Xcon's, ported..? I'm just really torn between the subs, haven't had a chance to demo any at all, but have read A LOT over the past few years. I have read time and time again that the xcons don't need TONS of power thrown to them to sound good. Don't feel like you have to power each subwoofer to it's max, there is no need to.

I bet the majority of the problem lays in the box, if the subs are moving -that- much they might be reaching their mechanical xmax?
-
Hahah I never thought of that. Smart thinking, doesn't it show up rather large though and your professors would have to be like
-
I've seen somewhere else that they are not strappable if different versions.
-
They look pretty damn good to boot!
-
Niceee!! What's up with the black tape on the bottom of the inside of the box?
-
No doubt this build is gonna be nasty, tuned in!! Thumbs up for getting right back into it so quick!!

Opinions on Pioneer (AVH-P5200BT)
Freshh replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I never was a big fan of flip outs, that's just my opinion though. Besides that I don't know enough about the HU's features, sorry. -
How low do you have to be in life to steal what other people work for.. smh..
-
Did you say you checked each one individually? If not, do that, I've seen on the forums a few times that sometimes one of the dustcaps isn't glued on propperly. Have you used that box for other subs before? Does the baffle of the box seem to move at all? Have you used that same amp for the same wiring set-up?
-
I'm anxious to see what you find out! Let us know!
-
Yeahhh buddy. Are you going to flush mount the Q?
-
10k watts going to 2 12's.. should be loud.
-
The 15 would have about 10% more cone area, but I think the two 10's would be better just because they'd be in their optimal box size.
-
Isn't it more fun starting from scratch? If it's your dream truck - go for it. If it's somebody elses dream truck - let it remain theirs.
-
Damn, that's . Sorry to hear man. There's always a new beginning when something ends though. Look forward, not into the past!

Me too! ^^^^
