What exactly makes you want to go with a bandpass box?
-
x2. But I still hope you have a good one!
-
I think going with the SSD is a good choice! Let us know how you like it!
-
Are you going to put it in a ported or sealed box?
-
That's weird, each time I've e-mailed Nick @ Fi the latest he responds to me is the next business day.

Well you're good there, as long as it's a good ground spot.. Where is it? -

What guage wire are you running? And how long is your ground wire? -
This opens a can of worms. Why buy SSA when Fi exists? The similarities are striking. The various product lines are nearly identical in price. Why would Fi design and build better subs than their own for another company and sell them at the same price? I think you're getting away from what Denim was trying to say.. I think Denim was trying to say, why buy from DC if those subs are from the same design of a guy that made them however many years ago? 6? If you could get the subs that he's designed in the last 6 months. Obviously the designs -should- be better because he's been doing it for a longer time period, not to mention you're keeping the money in the U.S.

ohhhh, Ok, thanks for your input. I was just guessing they moved on since its been some time, plus them now offering amps and what not. I hope somebody else chimes in, (hopefully Nick since I think that's who told me) so that I'm not telling you bs info.

I'm not saying this 100 percent, but I was talking to Nick I believe in the chatroom, and they still have the same basic structure. Nothing much has changed except for the price - which has changed a lot. My memory isn't the best though, so I may be off with some of that. ^ But that's the best I remember.

Bahaha that makes two of us.

Lil El' if you're talking about those holes in the basket, those are not part of the 'cooling' option. On that sub I only selected the Hi X-max and P-chamfer options. From Fi's tech: Cooling: Self explanatory, the cooling channels are machined into the inside of the sub to help cool the coil FAR better. But there are some things that you sacrifice. There is less metal inside of the motor so it is a little weaker. If you are looking for a fart/burp only scenario for SPL we suggest that you do NOT get this option. Stick with only the P chamfer. Now if you are looking for a daily sub to beat on and you have less then 2000 watts then this is the option for you. 2000+ watts you need to look into the BTL series.
