That's awesome that you made your system noticably louder by adding an alternator, I've never had the oppurtunity to get in a car that needed a H/O alt.

From what I've read on forums you're fine as long as they are the same version, you can't have one v1 and another v2. Might want somebody elses opinion as well though.

I've heard that to make the BL's shine you need LOTS of port area. That's just reading off of the forums. So take it with a grain of salt I suppose.

Hey guys, I'm just looking for some help or advice on what to do with my old amplifier. It's a RF punch series P500-2 (I believe the 2008 model? --Silver metal plates cover it), I recently had a local audio store run my wires through my new car and my intentions were to hook up that amplifier. But before they install any amp they run some kind of test on it to make sure it works, at least so he told me, and he said the amp was broken, with no further comments about it. That didn't seem right to me, although it may very well be broken, but I questioned it because I had it installed in my old vehicle (GMC Jimmy) and when I sold the Jimmy it worked just fine. So I'm thinking it either broke just sitting in the garage for 4 months? Or when I unhooked it? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Let me catch up, you have your 18" ssd box currently ported? How many cubes? I feel like you should have enough room for 4 10's sealed if you have the room for an 18 ported. Even 4 10's ported if that 18 is in the proper enclosure atm.. Cone area wise (3) 10's < (1) 18 < (4) 10's < (2) 15's < (1) 21.. Hope that helps your decision!

Just reading that made me mad almost! I couldn't imagine how you felt! You should go back there and at least figure out the hours of labor they did, what 'electrical connections' are wrong, and what in the hell took 8 hours. P.S. I hope your luck turns around man!

Which makes me wonder why a BL would be louder than the SSD if it were to be replaced? Sorry that's off-topic, don't mean to threadjack.
