Same Ricksi, and I'm curious about if GMC's were local or not too, sorry to hear either way though.

How to wire my amp

Agree with all of these. Should be loud man, enjoy! -
I've never dealt with Carmax, are you truly going to be happy with it? Make sure you spend plenty of time looking around first!
-
As am I, if that sub doesn't work, don't spend the money to fix it; just save until you have enough money for the upgrade you've been wanting to do imo!
-
Eh take it to your mechanic and have them check it! Make sure the check engine light comes on when you turn the key on, my friend almost bought a truck from a person who disabled that light! Make sure the price is right for your pocketbook too $16,000 is a lot of money!

Time for the Xcons?

That is a lot of miles for that year certainly, and Nissan does have a good name. But 100k miles is coming up and usually some parts need to be replaced, check the tires, ask about the oil, a tune up, etc, those kind of things. What is the KBB on the car w/ all the options?

Great song!! I'm going to Chicago October 9th to go see J. Cole!!! Cole world, no blankets.

Haha just had to laugh about you knowing the price with tax. You either had a recent scare or too many. Both. lol jk, 3 in my life and one was recent. You'll be fine Lantz. No worries!! Let your girlfriend read all of this, that'll help I'm sure!

Everybody has scares man, chill, but if it would make you feel better the Plan B pill can still have some results up to 5 days later. Much less of a chance of working, but for sure something to look into. At my wal-greens with tax it's about 54.65 or something like that. Which is a lot less than $100,000 or whatever it is to raise a kid until he's 18. Wrap that sucker up next time. It's worth it!! Ten minutes of pleasure isn't worth a lifetime of financial strain. Good luck man!

Hey guys, this is the very start of my first diy build, I've never installed a speaker in my life before today! But- I got the co-axial 6x9's into my doors this morning no problem! However, now I have a problem. I have a component set that I was going to run the 6.5's in the back door of my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I was going to run the tweeters up front in the dash. It just so happens the tweets don't fit in the dash. Should I try mounting them on the back doors somehow? Or a pillar? Here are a few pictures. Any ideas on where to place the tweeters would be much appreciated, I'm fine with not having them next to the 6.5's. I have never worked with fiberglass, and I don't plan on it, at least not for this build. lol Thank you in advance! By the way it's just a simple passive set-up.

What is frequency response? And to be honest, I never have heard a properly setup system.. I'd love to but I've only been to one car event and most of the people there were high school kids with stock HU's and 2 12's. I just bought my first headunit that didn't have 'treble' and 'bass' options, instead they are just equalizer options and I have no idea how to set it properly. EDIT: It's the Alpine CDA-117.

I know you guys are soooooo tired of this question

That's weird, lol what colors? Also, a pair of BL's on 2k would be loud! Good luck. -
In Need of Electrical Information!!!
Freshh replied to MasterG's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
That's a lot of watts and current draw, at the very minimum get a good battery to put under the hood, see what happens from there. Don't buy a capacitor. Big 3, and good battery under the hood, and you would benefit from getting a new alternator. Who knows though, you'll have to figure it out by yourself installs vary greatly! -
Interesting, I guess I thought because stock speaker lay outs were always like that they would be the most effective. Thanks for the info guys!
-
Keep it Fi!!! Unless you want a change of course, but why didn't you tint that back window?!
-
Looks good! I got the chrome blue on one of my Fi subs too! I didn't like how well it blended in with the black though. That flared port really added to the box though! Nice job.

I know you know what you're talking about so I'm not going to argue, but why would it be better? Isn't it good for you to be (surrounded I guess is the word) in the music? Plus what about the passengers!
-
Yeah it does!
-
True, I really don't know the difference lol Ignorance is bliss.
-
I'll let you know once I do the other door, tomorrow probably, I have work tonight.
-
^^^^ What's the problem?
-
I have a co-axial set in the front doors and a component set in back doors, backwards I know. but component anywhere is better than no where, right?
-
Yes it is!
