They'll keep making the subs, there isnt a limited quantity.... No matter at what time you order you'll be placed in line.

Nice! I have been cruising Madisound and have not seen those. Have you ever heard them? I have heard Scanspeak mid drivers and they are one of the best. Thanks I've never heard those personally, but it's similar to the same tweeters used in Alpine's F#1 Status... If you have to ask what that is.. Lol just google it.

Scott gave I'd assume most of everyone a call insuring you that your subs will be shipped out Thursday. He told me personally that they won't require a signature to be delivered since it gives more people problems than it's worth. If you want a signature required delivery, I'd ask him tomorrow before he gets it shipped out and I'm sure he'll take care of you.

I'd rather get a call from Scott telling me my subs will be here shortly rather than a celebrity saying "hey"... Also, my X shipped out today!!! Fi goodness is coming all at once!
-
Scott just gave me a phone call to let me know my subs will be shipped out Thursday!!! That's awesome!! A phone call from the owner of a company, that's quality customer service!

Eh, mine didn't get shipped out yet I'm sure they will be the end of this upcoming week though!
-
Bump... yeah, waiting to hear about this.

when should we be recieving a real tracking number for the btl n15 just asking ive been waiting for ever it seems like Guys, stop getting impatient. It was pretty clear they wouldn't start building them until Nov 22nd and they unfortunately ran into machining problems. Nick just told me that they should be shipping out by the end of the week. edit** and your number is real, they just gave it to you ahead of time.

Any update on the molds Scott?

Hey Bimmer, you know me from the chat the other night. Just sayin' my setup is all in an 02 Camry..

so wait it says 300w rms on the 12" x series on the black friday sale i just ordered two of them thinking they were 300w rms so are they 300w or 250w rms because if they are 250w i think ill need to change my order to something else that can handle more wattage because i have a soundstream rub1.1000d which is 1000w rms @ 1ohm and 800w rms @ 2ohm i was hoping the 300w rms was right and maybe a little underated so the two of them could maybe handle 700w rms You could put 1000 watts a piece on these if you know what you're doing. Be easy with the gain and they'll handle your amp no problem.

Eh, the goal is to keep the sound completely inside the cabin... any sound that escapes the cabin will lower the loudness inside. And being heard blocks away is annoying... But the N1 will be a sound quality sub, the N2 is the replacement for the Gen 2 BTLs and is a great daily driver. The N3 is for competition use, unless you plan on spending around $2k in electrical upgrades, just pass on it. The N-SG... don't even ask.
-
It looks good, but aren't you concerned with how the air will get back into the cabin?
-
I'm going to be firing my subs and port forward and sealing off the trunk from the cabin. So far, I only have my front doors and trunk lid deadened. I only bought 36 sq ft of dynamat extreme (I live 5 minutes from the factory, gotta support them haha), what should I deaden primarily first? Because I'm sealing off from the trunk, do I even need to deaden anything in the trunk?
-
Two svc 4 ohm speakers wired in parallel will give you a two ohm load. Actually, to branch on to this topic, what about component sets, can two 4 ohm component sets be wired to 2 ohms?
-
I personally use Dynamat Extreme. I live literally 5 minutes away from the factory so I have to support them (gotta help the community.) It goes on with ease, and I have had it on for 1.5 years and you still couldn't pull it off if you tried. The only other thing I've heard that is comparable to Dynamat Extreme is Second Skin's Damplifier Pro.

These are not mine, and I don't know whose they are... Either way, one of the most impressive BTL vids I've seen:
-
Yeah for sure I'll deaden the rear deck and I'll make a great attempt to seal it off 100% thanks to expanding foam. So basically you guys don't think I should deaden even the sides of my trunk?

line out converter help
AllenH427 replied to BigB2202's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I was installing one for my friends car, same problem, it just wasn't getting as loud as expected. I just told him to get an aftermarket headunit with preouts and sure enough, the problem was fixed. -
Do they have the Hixm coil?
-
3 12s won't fit either, you're front baffle will be to small. I was in the same boat as you, if you're going to pay that much money, you want to get the bigger cone for just that extra maybe $30.. but when it came down to it, 15's wouldn't fit in my trunk so I just rolled with 12's. Fire the subs and port forward and seal it off from the trunk. Edit** And if you're worried about what people think of your subs, I can assure you that your Xcons will impress anyone who sits in your car.

Secondary battery help
AllenH427 replied to Kyle1141's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I guess I'll thread-jack a little I was told since my rear batt to amp wire will only be about 2 feet long, I won't need a fuse. It's the AQ 3500d.1. It has 2 inputs for power, I'm guess I'd need to fuse each of these inputs, and what size fuse should I use for each input? -
I'm not entirely sure about the mechanics of subwoofers, but for 522 watts, that thing was moving!
