I'll have to check, but this was 2 years ago, so I'm not making any promises... EDIT: I just checked the thread I made about them and found out I stored the pics on CA.com...which they've been long since deleted... Sorry man. But I can tell you they were 0.67ft3 after port and driver displacement...they was huuuuuuuge.
-
Well, maybe not compared to the 0.8ft3 pods I built for dual Vifas...but they stick out a good 5-6"!
-
Dem pods are huuuuuuuge! I dig the wiring, looks like mine...

Does Windows Media Player count?

Fiber Optics in HU and amps?
WeDgE replied to haydenlake's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well, of course it would be expensive...there'd only be one source to get the cable from...the manufacturer. But that's not what is being discussed here...we're talking about toslink/optical...it's not an exclusive connection, and therefore, relatively cheap...as I have shown with the link provided. -
Scurrrrrrrrrrred?
-
That's what I figured. The edit button is on the bottom right hand corner of your posts. Hahaha, you're way too easy to get going...
-
Well I sure as chit hope you aren't using a Class D amp for your frontstage,lol...but if you are, the more power to you?
-
The endcaps are over 6" wide?! Wow... That's the advertised power for the KX, but they are underrated...birthsheets show power to be in the 960-980W range with all channels driven at 2ohm. By any chance does the Olym. come with a birthsheet? 1ohm stable is nice, but who uses an A/B 4ch to power subwoofers?
-
I never knew smaller measurements meant it was bigger... Olym.: 11.10"x2.75"x20.86" KX: 25-3/4"W x 2-5/8"H x 10-1/4"D "Larger" freq. response doesn't matter...can you detect sound higher than 20kHz? Or lower than 20Hz on your components? XOs don't much matter to me as I'm active. Do you believe you're going to tell a difference of 0.06% between two amps? Hehehehe... What did you pick it up for anyways? Have fun with your amp, though...tons of power.

Expensive is when you don't do your research...

VIA EPIA M10000 mobo (1ghz imbedded proc., onboard graphics & sound) 512mb ram DVD/CDRW slot load drive Chaintech AV-710 soundcard w/optical out 120gb HDD 8" Lilliput touchscreen M1-atx power supply They're quite easy to implement into the car...the hardest part I've run into is molding the screen into the dash...apart from that all you have to do is run the wiring, mount the pc case/monitor and voila, done. -
Fiber Optics in HU and amps?

??? So you want a fiberoptic cable to say "Alpine" on it simply because it has the name on it? I don't think I'm following you... -
Not really...especially if you know where to get your parts... I have a set of 600whp-capable rods sitting here that I picked up for $325US shipped BNIB.
-
I don't know about you but $4000 isn't "cheap" by my standards... Also, just because it has a turbo doesn't mean it's automatically fast...takes alot of supporting mods to do it properly.
-
Still smaller than my Kicker KX800.4... Looks like you'll get a ton of power outta that beast, though!

They already are...in HUs and processors...I'm using optical out from my CarPC to the H700...works great! Optical cables are cheap...don't know where you got your info from. http://www.core-sound.com/toslink-cables.html -
Because it's so cheap and easy to do, right?

I don't think I've seen that guy on the net/AIM in the last 8 months...what a hoser... :\

I know that Nick swapped out his Aura 15's for the new Mag 15's if that tells you anything...

Ehh, fingers broken?? http://www.stereointegrity.com/Magnum12v1.html

Same x-max as the previous model, but is capable of 3" peak to peak.

Nope, not even email replies...

What vehicle do you have? If you have a hatch, you could easily get away with a single 12 ported...but if you have a sedan, I'd say go with two 12's sealed.
