Me too, seems to be quite prominent...most of the trucks I've seen with one out are usually less than a year old!

What's the driver displacement of the 2nd gen D2?
WeDgE replied to Deathwish238's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
It's usually fairly negligible when figuring out an enclosure...use 0.10 ft^3 to be on the safe side. -
0.7-1.5 cubes sealed 1.5 cubes @ 32Hz 2 cubes @ 28Hz http://www.stereointegrity.com/Magnum12.html Good thing Nick still has that up, otherwise I couldn't tell ya...

Looks like a 15" box to me...
-
Haggis is Scottish...f00...
-
How much power is on it? 1200wrms? Doesn't seem like it's moving much at all...I think my 15 with 300w is moving the same amount, hehe...
-
Agreed...now I have to fix my rear deck...rattles like a mother...
-
Where are the Mags...err...D2s...??
-
And it did surprise me...even in a sedan with 300W it gets quite loud! You may be right, or I may be on crack...either way... 1500w is going to be sick...my alternator will hate me. One word sums up this driver...wow.
-
Of course, just look at the name...
-
There is no need to play devil's advocate here.

You can use pretty much any driver in any enclosure provided it's designed properly...as I've said before, there are no "strictly sealed" or "strictly ported" drivers. Plus, he wouldn't be asking in the SI forum if he didn't have one of our subs...
-
Probably ported to get the most output.
-
Never heard a SI Mag D2...help me imagine it
WeDgE replied to Deathwish238's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I don't know how to describe it myself...it's unlike any other subs I've heard before...it's *that* accurate...it's nuts! -
Yeah, 1.25 is much too small for the 15...glad you put it in the 2.5!!
-
Wow, absolutely gorgeous...
-
They've already disrespected what he's done for them...give'em the fookin' boot.
-
Many thanks... Sure, why not...I'll give 'er a whirl.

Get my email??

Ask in General, then.

Guys, the pros/cons of cheap/expensive cable aren't even up for debate here...we hear what we hear...and heck, the guy is just showing off some new shizz that he picked up.
-
Two 12's IB behind the rear seat or in the rear deck...booya.
-
Optical run > Analog run Nice wires, though...they's pwetty.

Happy to hear you're enjoying it!
