New soft parts, but not a new motor.
-
Yeah, I'd have to fully agree with you there. Over there OT isn't OT...it's like OT with a bazillion caveats.
-
LOL, now he changed his age to "38"...that f00

It's a 2nd gen Magnum. Not 3rd, not 1st.

It's passed around.

Subwoofers incorporating XBL aren't to my liking (aurally)...
-
I do believe they make those track adapters for all kinds of trucks as well...saw them in a catalog at a previous job...pricey, but sweeet.
-
Doesn't have to be ABX at all.

I don't think it's a problem with giving the sub too much power. I have mine in the same size box but with 1.5x the power...the only time I hear a funny sound is when I clip the amp...believe me, you can really tell when it's clipping too... Heck, the sub doesn't even move anywhere near x-max with full power...it's stupid loud, though.

Man, I'm impressed by the looks of this thing...I saw pictures and all, but in person is just that much better. Dig the look of the spoked basket b/c you can see a lot of the cone...just gives it a better look, IMO. Chromed motor = I'm surprised by the suspension stiffness, though...seems to me fairly soft compared to the old one? Maybe it'll make the cone move "faster"...help out transient response... It's just too bad that all I have is ~300w @ 4ohms right now...waiting on my Tantrum to arrive. Must...go...install...

I've decided that the 15 is a tad too big for me to do an IB install behind the rear seat...will be moving to two 12s....

stereo integrity d2's 12" measurement questions?
WeDgE replied to newtitan's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Bloody hell, with 1500 clean watts the 15" Mag doesn't move much at all in 2.5 sealed...and at that volume it's retarded loud...seriously... -
It was a typo.

I'm happy to hear that you enjoy it so much! Have fun!

Good god, mo' powah = tons mo' betta Can't believe how articulate this sub is...the increase in power really woke it up in that sense. Became a fair bit louder too...but it's the accuracy that impresses me. I'll admit that when I had 300w on it I felt it should have been more "accurate" from what I remembered from the first gens (and these are supposed to be much better than those)...but apparently that problem is easy to solve...more power...
-
Sure you can. Stop being a pussy and put your foot down...it's what I do.
-
Just picked it up today, haven't installed it yet. I don't imagine it will sound much different than it does now, just louder and the bass peaks will probably be more pronounced. Sorry, I have no means of making a vid...

Yay, the Tantrum 1200.1 is here...let the carnage begin. Heavily contemplating going IB, still...just have to move the amp rack back ~ 6"...
-
If you have the space for either, I would definitely go with two 15s. Sure it'd be overkill, but so would two 12s...the question is, how much overkill do you want...

Been trying to get in touch with him, but I haven't seen him on in about a week...hope all is well on the home front...

We're not "carrying" them...

I do believe comps are available, but only when the customer is serious about purchasing and can afford them.
