Ok, so some our Team Sundown guys got their NS-1's and clamped them on a resistor...this basically means there's no rise the resistor pack used for this test is 0.7 ohms Power supply 8 Stinger SP 2150's resting at 12.9v measured 80 volts 114 amps voltage drop 11,8v Power: 9120 watts guys said the amps is a beast in terms of low impedance stability, stayed cool the whole time the vid Effficiency 984 Amps of draw at 11,8 volts 78% efficiency at 0.7 ohms is damn good
-
what do you mean? 0,7 ohm resistor testing is pretty much wiring the amp to 0.25 with rise... as long as there's enough current to support that it will be fine. not sure one would want to do so for daily listening, but one could if you're asking about burps - 0.25 is fine and we have tested that on the prototypes I mean, listening to music using .. with 0.5 - 1ohm impedance sounds good? can be used without problems? well, I have 2 NS-1s strapped @2ohms in my Ram right now, but we only ran a few tests on them as well as a single NS-1 @ 0.5ohms ...I can't give you a full review since I don't drive the thing in the winter and bumping in the shop causes way too many issues with stuff falling of the walls and from the shelves... we actually had the ceiling fall down where the crapper is it's a great amp

there's only so much you can pull from one battery. 6k+ is very good. I think it will do close to 9k from the first test with 3 bats...and should be over 8k with two
-
same test, with only two batteries? is it possible? as requested....well, not exactly, but..... one battery - Stinger 2150 clamp on a single battery - Stinger SP2150 (100Ah) drop to 9,8 volts 94,8 amps 65 volts resistor - 0,68 ohms 6160 watts !!! did this several times - the amp never shut off or protected = beast vid

Thanks Nick! the Obsidian 18's are awesome we got that roof deadned btw, so we're gonna shoot another vid today
-
Haha, we do what we can .... It's damn cold here, so we gotta keep ourselves entertained, occupied and away from vodka and promiscuous women. Not sure about that ticket, but you're more than welcome to fly over, and we will meet you at the airport and show you around

added amp draw and efficiency
-
the headunit used had some speakers hooked up to it

Jake said he was gonna open up a presale on the second production run soon, might want to check on that
-
lots of flex inside

Thanks! 4 z18v3's + SAZ4500 = tire flex

Ok, so as some of you may know, me and the guys at D Style Audio are about midway through finishishing my blowthrough build with 4 z18v3's in my Dodge Ram ...a very thorough build log with lots of pics may be found on the Russian version of cardomain in my sig (you may need to use google-translate to navigate there as it is in Russian) for those that want Cliff-notes: vid just before the build here's the truck after a new paintjob this is the box - designed by Team Nemesis Derrick  installed Current electrical consists of a Mechman 320A alt, XS Power D6500 under the hood, two D2700's in the bed - two runs of positive and negative - Shok Industries 0awg .... we will add more bats in February when the next shipment of bats comes in Subs - z18v3's  This is the amp we're using for this build - it is a prototype we are testing for Russ at Shok industries..it's a beast of an amp..I'm sure those that are familiar with guts of high power Korean amps will have no problems identifying what it resembles and and what power is to be expected... we have so far clamped it at 7200watts with a drop to 11v.. score was 154.5 @36hz here's the vid of that we have since done a best of 154.7 @35hz with that amp.... my current range from 30 to 38hz is pretty flat - within tenths of a db so, right after we metered the 154.7 (this was after a fresh charge on the bats with the awesome XS Power HF1215 intellicharger) we shot some vids for fun and then we had some business to take care of - test some NS-1s that just came in before shipping them out to teammates outside of Moscow and we knew NS-1s are some strong ass amps from a previous testing and competitions with the prototypes, but the results of this drop-in test were a surprise to us...pretty much right out of the box we gained 0.2 dbs over the best score of the other amp :runaround: and the best part? less voltage drop Me being happy Sundown Audio FTW!!
-
you mean will it work with a drop to 8.5v? i don't know really, you'd have to ask Jake. I know I won't be testing it for low voltage protection and I do know that it will work with a system that is charging above 19v. from the testing above I can conclude that the NS-1 seems to have much better efficiency than the other amp...
-
Thanks man! thois build has been "under construction" for the longest time...about time we finally get it done I'm in Moscow, Russia just for laughs I took this vid a few days ago when driving with the amps from customs to the shop
-
It sure is, we were all very suprised with the gain and even more so when we saw the voltage.... we were basically metering just for fun, hence no video camera running, but when we saw the number on the meter we were like "Holy shit we need to take pics of this!!" Yeah, the first video is way nice, that's a fellow Team Sundow Russia teammate shooting and editing - here's the guy's youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/kostsov - he does awesome work
-
I believe Jake is taking pre-orders on the second production run - first one is completely sold out since like back in october iirc ...I'd get in-touch with your local Sundown dealer
-
This is pretty cool build done by the guys at SAdemocar here in Moscow... a brand new VW Scirocco with bags running some Sundown gear
-
2x They are in Russia, so I'm assuming that they are available there. The new VW Scirocco came out this summer in Russia and Europe, thought you guys had it over in US as well? it's pretty nice lookin
-
LOL I know... I already busted their balls about that

So here's one of the shop run-around cars we managed to snag up a few months ago... an Audi a4 sedan the trunk is pretty much sealed off from the cabin with a full metal diviader with 10by12 ski hatch box is a bit over 2 cubes, tuned to 26Hz Stock bat under the hood Shok Reference 0awg to the back 2 SA10 d2's SAX1200D @ 0.5 ohms very flat from 22 to 37Hz Playing some music Now we add an XS Power D680, a nice 20Ah bat Scores went up and Vic - who designed and made this box this is a great box for music and playing lows...lots of flex and even moves decent air
