If you want a quality 4 channel take a look in the SSA Store on the possible group buy on Zed Audio built amp! Or I could sell you a lnib Sundown 50.4! well my intensions were to get the ID CTX65CS comps. with the sundown 125.2 as i am not doing rear sound. and as for the HU, ill be getting the Pioneer 7200HD. what do you think? Sounds like a nice setup! Could always bridge the 50.4 to a 2 channel .... hmm, im still not very clear on the whole bridging thing, if i were to bridge it, how many watts rms would i be getting (to each side)? -

swagger_wagon468 posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
hey everyone. i am looking at doing my front setup very soon and i would like opinions on component speakers. i will most likely be getting the Sundown SAZ-100.4 amp.(or the 125.2)really trying to decide if i wand sound in the bak. im thinkin i do. becuz i dont want to completely screw my friends while listenin to music. i have 6.5 speakers in the doors. and tweeters in the armrest(all stock) in the back, there are 6x9's and tweeters.(stock as well) its a 1994 Toyota Camry Wagon. so...let the opinions flow. how are these Image Dynamics CTX65CS 's ?ive been reading on them and they seem good overall. opinions? ALSO, can i get them any cheaper from another authorized dealer? http://www.woofersetc.com/p6201/CTX65CS--Image-Dynamics-65"-Component-Speaker-System.htm thanks -jonathan -

3 yes's. cool. i will be getting these next paycheck. along with my Pioneer 7200HD also, i will probly get the coax speakers on the paycheck after my next one. so i should get teh 100.4 amp right? for the coax's...these good? ( i will have to get adapters for these as my rears ar 6x9s) http://www.woofersetc.com/p5557/CTX65--Image-Dynamics-675"-2-Way-Speakers-w--Silk-Tweeters.htm and for $40 more i can get another set of comps... should i just gio with 2 sets of comps? or woult the coax acctually be better? but either way, i think its gonna be a complete pain in the ass to wire the rear speakers from the hatch to the amp. hmm... maybe front only. ugh, not sure -

Agreed. And I would do Coax in the rear. Being that they are silk tweets, they are more smooth sounding. Pretty good SQ though and very good midbass. I have mine in kickpods, so I'm not getting any midbass really, but if you have them in doors, they are great. ok. so now i have 2 yes's. -

99% of the time i listen to rap/hiphop. i listen to rock every once in a while. not often though. and eventually ill be getting a 15" BTL. but it will be in the new year. im just trying to have a nice sounding front setup untill i get the sub/amp/box etc. im not lookin to spend 300$ on a set of comps. 200 max im thinkn. so these r perfect for my price range. and also, if i do sound in the rear...should i just do some coax speakers? or another set of components? thanks man -

hello, first post. i am hopefully getting a Fi BTL soon . anyways, i am either gettin one 12" or one 15" probly a 15". they are 2000RMS. i can get either dual 2 or 1 ohm voic coils.(ohms is the main thing i dont get in car audio) now, which should i go with? dual 1 or 2 ohm? 2 ohm is more reliable right? also, if i wer to go with dual 2 ohm...when looking for a amp, i would be looking for a amp with 2000 rms at 2ohm right? or would it be 4ohm at that point? (2ohm + 2ohm?) and for the dual 1ohm i would be looking for 2000rms at 2ohm? AHH... so confused. plz help me with this. any opinions on amps is GREAT! i dont want to spend 1500$ on a amp. i need kinda a budget amp. but a GOOD amp. CLUELESS when it comes to ohms. sub info at: (im sure everyone knows the specs on Fi...but just incase) Fi: thanks -jonathan -

the roof ad floor aren't necesary, you will notice significant results from just doing the doors, and it is better to do al 4 of the doors if you can since the more area you cover, the better results you'll get. what most of our customers notice is that when they deaden part of their car, the noise where they deadened is more or less gone, but since it's gone the noises from other parts orthe car seem louder(they aren't, unless something else has changed in the car, but it just seems that way). either way, you don't have to do everything in one sitting. if you decide to do your project piece by piece, i recomed starting with the doors, then trunk/hatch, then floor, then roof. and yes you get better results using Damplifier Pro as a base and then applying Luxury Liner Pro on top of it. you see, there are two different types of noise; the airborne and the structure-borne. the Damplifier Pro takes care of the structure borne Noise while the Luxury Liner Pro covers the Airborne noise, and much like the different areas of your car, you don't have to do Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro at the same time, you can do the Damplifier Pro and then ad the Luxury Liner Pro later. AX thanks alot man. will doing this make my hatch not rattle like peoples trunks do? or is that another product? i HATE when i hear that rattle in my friends car. -

^thanks...i looked up tons how to's of sound dampening. and researched alot about it. and it looks like a bitch to intstall. not so much the doors. but the trunk(for me it would be the hatch cuz i have a wagon), floor, roof etc... would the roof and floor be necessary? also would i need it on the rear doors that have no speakers? also, i read that its best to have like a base then another layer. so this would be like (from second skin)... damplifier pro, then what? overkill pro? also, either next paycheck or the one after... i will be getting headunit, speakers and amp for them. what are u guys opinions on rear speakers and speaker brands??? i will be getting compnents up front for sure. front has 6.5's and tweeters. and the back has 6x9's and tweeters. should i just disconnect and not worry about the speakers in the back all together? (ive had people tell me this) or get another set of components for the rear? what brands and models do you guys recomend for components. (now i dont wanna spend $300 a set on them) thanks every1. SSA is an AWESOME forum. -jonathan
