so, i got this Linear Power amp (model 2202) from one of my friends to hook up to my other friends little sub. its 2 channel. and its 11x2. his sub is a little MTX 4500. so its the right amt of power. the amp just looks so old. the power, remote, and ground wires are sticking out (connected internally...?) i have searched Google to see if its bridgeable. no luck. only found a little info. questions: 1. is it bridgeable? if so, how? the + and - setup is like this: [ - [ + [ + [ - 2: is the amp a P.O.S.? any other important info on this amp? or this brand? only thing i found was: http://www.linearpower.com/detail/2202.html more info: 2 x 110W @ 8 ohms (12.5V) 1 x 250W @ 4 ohms bridged THD: 0.09% (20Hz 20kHz) S/N Ratio: 95dB Freq. response: 19Hz-200Hz Damping Factor: 210/105 (4/2 ohms) Channel Separation: 75dB Fuse: External 40A and heres a thread on one. so, i will be looking into getting a box before the end of the year. and i was wondering how much for a box for 1 12" Kicker L7s (dual 2 ohm). they will be seeing 1200 watts total. im not to familiar with the box tuning and stuff.(kinda new to the car audio game) do you guys tune to a certain hz everytime? or to customers request? because i dont really know what it means to have a box "tuned to 32hz"... anyways, i would like a nice solid box. (double bafffle, bracing, 45's?... any of which would be needed/recomended.) and i also think i would like a kerfed port if you guys do that. i have a 1994 camry wagon. so space if plentiful. and one other question, do you make box designs? as in, you make a design so i could make the box in my grandpas shop. thanks, -jonathan

i got the BOSS ZED amp. (85wrms per channel) so 16ga good for that? and thats what i was gonna use for my subs. plus the kit for my subs will come with some too. 12ga ok for the sundown 2500.1? (600wrms @ 2ohms each sub) (kicker L7s)

let me start off by saying that this is my first install of any kind. so please bare with me if i seem like a complete . haha. ok...so, in the mail on the way to me i have: - a set of Bravox carbon fiber components (6.5") - Boss Audio Zed Made Havoc REV-665 - a set of Alpine 5x7 type R's (might use for rear fill. not sure yet. got them cheap so...) i have a Kenwood kdc-HD545U (still new and not installed). my electrical, audio, etc is completely stock. i have a 1994 Toyota Camry wagon V6. i know some of my questions could be "answered" by google. but i prefer to get all my info from the knowldgeable people here at SSA some of my questions: 1. what do i need in order to install my amp and speakers? i was told by Denim that 8ga would be good for the amp. should i just buy a cheap amp kit with everything in it? or buy it in pieces? if recomended to buy in pieces; then maybe a complete list of things needed for the install...that would be great. 2.also, i was told by ///M5 to use baffles for the speakers. i dont even kno what those are. lol. 3. im not quite sure on how i will setup my speakers yet. ive heard of both active and passive for comps, though im not sure what they mean. im guessing my options are running the alpines and Bravox's off the amp, or alpines off the HU and comps off the amp?... im sure i will have more questions later on such as help installing. i guess the first order of buisness is to get everything ordered that i need to install. so thanks in advance! -jonathan

its only $20 for 80 feet. rather be safe than sorry. 16ga is ok right?....and im getting the Klarity speaker cable. but what about the RCAs? Eko for $5? or Karma for $15?

thing is, my car is at my grandpas right now and im driving his truck. (1.5hrs away) wont have it till next wed or thurs. ill go ahead and get 80 ft to be safe. that should be plenty dont you think? 16ga is fine for my door speakers right? also, if you were me, would you do the Eko RCA for $5 or Karma RCA for $15? is the Eko that bad?

soooo.... i finally got around to calling Knu. and they said you get the KnuKlarity RCAs with the amp kit since they are pre packaged. so im going to order the kit with a extra RCA. (Karma SS RCA) ...actually, i might get the eko. $10 cheaper. and u said it works fine right? would you pay the extra $10 for the Karma RCA? and ill probly get about 50 ft of 16ga wire for the speakers. think that is enough? i have a 1994 Toyota Camry. maybe 60 ft?....
