^ it does seem that you are stuck on the 18. But I till suggest a 12 or 15. And don't go with iraggi. Go with DC Power. I have hears about shady things going on with iraggi. Somethon about the guy is no longer around. But idk... -

Begginer PLZ help for those who are experienced
swagger_wagon468 replied to Babbar Khalsa's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
ok... first, is your tacoma a extended cab? 4 door? and are you willing to give up seats in the back? because you WILL have to either remove some seats, fold them up, etc if you go with an 18. i suggest a 15"... ALSO... DO NOT buy from dealerscostcaraudio.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all of the 5 star reviews are probly bogus considering all the 1 and 2 star ones... http://www.google.com/products/seller?hl=en&sugexp=gsis&xhr=t&q=dealercostcaraudio&cp=9&rlz=1R2ADSA_enUS417&um=1&bav=on.2,or.&wrapid=tlif129938588898710&ie=UTF-8&tbo=u&tbs=shop:1&source=og&zmi=dealercostcaraudio.com&cmi=3818414428717056&sa=X&ei=Mw5zTYzsCcnAtgedmNn3BQ&ved=0CEMQqQwwAA&biw=1345&bih=467 here is a link to all the shady buisness that goes down on that site. half the people never get their stuff nor a refund. and definately go Sundown on your amp. great power / watt. -

Well the thing is... the xs 5100 is the biggest that will go under thee hood. Not much room. Though I di think I might be able to fit another on the other side where there is an empty space. I was waiting till Kevin got 5100R's in stock on 1800woofera.com so I could get the discount. But no luck still. -

Tuned in as well. Can't wait to see how you manage all that in an Accord. Lol. What are you doing for alt, highs, and hu?

I am realatively in the same boat as you, just getting into the big stuff. I was talking to Rob and Kyle at DC Power about the 270xp that I will also be gettting. And I asked if it would be big enough for 2 saz2500's and they both said yes. So im prettty sure the 4500 would be fine off of tthe 270xp. Also, rob was telling me that his rule of thumb is one battery per 1000w. (Including the primary batt) so if you are running 5000w... then you would need 4 extra batts. Plus your primary. = 5 total batts. What size batts? He didn't say. But just thought I would share what he shared with me.

Yea. That's what I think I am going to do. That's my biggest problem... all the amp settings. Im not sure what to exactly set them at. So they are all roughly dialed in to what a few people told me. Any link about adjusting the settings on Sundown amps? I am going to search for one. But if you have a good one, let me know. -

Ahh... Gotchya. Thanks jay. So to make new mounting adapters, what should I use? And how thick? Mdf will absorb water and acrylic is a PITA to cut. -

Soo... I was in the middle of installing my new hsk165 components. And the mounting holes in the woofer are slightly closer together than the mounting holes in my door. So they wont fit. Ny suggestions as to why this is like this? My Bravox comps were. 6.5's just like these...so I don't get it.
