So it seems the general consensus is break in does occur, the user just doesn't have to take any abnormal action during that time which I totally agree with. To the OP, DC lvl 6? You don't even have enough juice to break that sub in haha. I'm envious! Lol

Can somebody pm me or post the price of the 21 inch warden re-cone.
-
Yea, all the parts were fine. The tracks just expanded too far. I AM A come up with something this weekend!
-
Well, my sunroof jumped the tracks today, I almost lost it on the freeway bumping that new rick ross. I was able to fix it, but now I know I have to do something.
-
Get it tested.

Do you have a newer chevy truck?

So a guy hit me up for my Shurikens I have on CL. He wanted to know if they would hold a JL 1000/1 and a 600/4. He said he had just got a new Optima, so I was like hell yea, your voltage will be nice! I start to ask him what his goals were and he said he's trying to eliminate some dimmimg. So I start to tell him how to do the Big 3, and that should solve his problems. I wasn't in a rush to sell the batteries, plus I couldn't stand to see a fellow basshead waste money on something he didn't need. Oh well, at least I don't have a guilty conscience!
-
If he's not straight, then I'll have the money to go pick up some CnDs to hold me over until I make my XS order lol
-
He'll be straight, I know his truck, plus I ran the same setup with a better 4 channel. I'll be doing the work on his truck, plus he's gonna have to get the wire from me, so i'm still in the game lol.

Ipod photo won't show on HU!

I read on a Pioneer HU forum months ago, that dudes were having to do a factory reset on their Ipod and re-add all of their albums to see the art on their HU. The problem is, they're having to do this everytime they add a new album. No Beuno! lol -

Sup, I did a search, but couldn't find anything. I got a pioneer z130bt and a ipod touch. I downloaded a bunch of album photos and they used to show up, but after I downloaded the latest ipod update, I can't get any to show up on my HU even though they show on my ipod. Anybody had this issue? -

I had 2 15" re xxx's (new style) on 5k and the sunroof would clap at full tilt. Now with this 21, its happening at 3/4 volume. I'm hitting less on the mic with this 4th order, but it is by far my loudest setup.
-
I play music at full tilt on demos. As for the clapping, its the metal frame of the glass against the metal of the roof. As far as opening my door, my tahoe starts rattling everywhere once I drop a window, so I keep it sealed up. Plus I don't gain anything dropping the window and it sounds bad ass sealed up. Where would I look for parts to rebuild the sunroof? @Bassahaulic, did you guys have to modify your sunroofs in any way? Also what kind of vehicles are they?

I am going to be moving from my current 2 way passive system(JL ZR650s) to a 3 way active system. I originally planned to go full Beyma mids and highs, but ever since my ZR woofers broke in, I have fallen in love with their sound and I have decided to keep them as my mid range and add the ZR800s as my mid bass drivers; I also will be using the Beyma AST09 3 inch super tweeter. I have a 08 Tahoe. My current setup has the woofer in the stock location and the tweeter in the stock A pillar location. I plan to build an enclosure in my center console for my 8's(one firing to both the driver and passenger side/not in between the seats) and glass my doors to fit the tweeter, but I had a couple of questions regarding my midbass enclosure and my tweeters. 1. I am planning to build the enclosure to specs, but JL recomends A little over a cube tuned to 32hz per driver. That tuning seems a little low for a midbass driver to me. Should I stick to those specs? 2. Since I will still have my JL tweeters in the A pillars, my plan was to run those in order to raise my stage. Will I run into problems with that considering they're different tweeters or is it something I can overcome with eq? As far as my mids, I often listen to my music with my subs off, so I wouldn't mind a mid that can play low comfortably. Planned Setup/approximate crossover points: - Pioneer Z120bt - JL ZR800s(50-500hz/12db) - JL ZR650(450-4.5khz/12db) - Beyma AST09(4khz/24) - JL ZR100CT(~5.5 or 6khz/24) - Infinity Kappa 6.5 coaxial(rear fill) - BITONE - ZED Leviathan - Powerbass XAX 4160

Since I'm going to have to fab my doors to fit the tweeter anyways, I plan to create full door pods to fit an 8, a 6 1/2, and a 3" tweeter. I have alot of open space in my center console extension( I have my 450/4 in there now), so it would afford me alot of space to work with to build a proper enclosure for the mids. If its a fail, then I'll look at moving them back to the doors. I also planned on trying just the beyma tweeter first to see if I like the height before I try to JL tweeters too.

You would think so, but thats not the case. There's no question the supertweeter can produce more sound, but it also produces a better sound IMO. I'm using the super tweeter, because I like sound it produces, the jl tweeter is a little too bright. As far as the Infinity coaxials, those were rear-fill. The XO points were approximate, but I based those off a build that i demo'd using the same drivers (minus the beyma tweeters). How did you listen to the super tweeters? full range? active? If so what crossover points and slopes? Reason I ask, the JLs could possibly be EQ'd and crossed over differently and in turn sound completely different. Also on stage height, if you position the tweeters directly below the midrange drivers, it can raise the stage height. When I heard the supertweeters, the only XO was the inline HP that comes with the tweeter.

Kicks are not an option as I value leg room more and I have yet to hear a kick panel setup that was worth losing the leg room. As far as the door, it is a viable option, but the recommended enclosure size is so large, it would be a pain to pull it off. "Center Console" makes it sound like the mids will be closer to me than the mid ranges or tweeters. The speakers will be on the same distance and level as the mid range, just firing from the center in.

Does anybody know where I can find an outer mounting ring for my 21? The best I could find is the foam cushion type that you find on walmart subs. Any help would be appreciated.
-
I didn't want to bring up an old topic, but I wanted to let anyone who wanted to know, know that I decided to go to toolmaker on **** to make a ring for me
-
yea, the rubber gasket. The 21's don't come with em, but I want one. I like the look better.

I want to do a 4th order for a single 21" Warden. What I want to know is has anybody had success with any Warden in a fourth and if so, what was the sealed/ported ratio? I plan on tuning relatively low for daily use, but there's no point in spending the time and money on the box if it won't work ya know!
