    SA-8 Driver Displacement

What is the air displacement on the SA-8. I'm trying to account for it in a .5 cube box....

    3 SA-8's Box Design Help

Yes, daily use. Looking to get the smoothest response from them. My overall goal is for SQ not brain rattling bass. The only other question I haven't seen answered is: When calculating the box volume do you subtract out the entire port volume, or just the material used making the port?

    3 SA-8's Box Design Help

Is that the best approach? A single chamber box rather than splitting them into their own chambers. It doesnt make a difference really, the only downfall of using a single chamber is that if a driver fails you wont be able to play them other two until you get it fixed. Next Question: Tuning - is 33 Hz a good place to be, or should I go higher or lower?

    3 SA-8's Box Design Help

Single chamber, or 1.5 per driver? I don't have the space to afford a 4.5 ft3 box in my trunk for some 8's if you're talking about per driver.

    3 SA-8's Box Design Help

System: (3) SA-8 D4's Phoenix Gold ZX600.2 titanium. (1200W @ 2 Ohm bridged) Looking for help designing the box for these bad boys. I've don't see any information on the Sundown site regarding recommended volumes / port sizes / tuning, so here I am... I've played with WinISD some, and basically decided to tune it somewhere around 33 Hz. For those of you that have these bad boys, what tuning do you run, what volume of box, and how many subs? For my build I'm thinking of going with .6 cubes per sub (chambered box) with a slotted port that is 5" x .75" x 16" (slot port inside dimensions). From what WinISD tells me this should be sufficient to run @ 33 Hz tuning, but I want input from the guys that actually have these. Also can someone tell me how you factor in a slotted port into box volume? Do you just subtract out the wood and count the air space as part of the box volume, or completely subtract out the entire volume of the port? I plan to start building Friday afternoon.
