Finding the right amp for a odd ohm load
Aurelios replied to Aurelios's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Gotcha. Yeah, I'm running three dvc subs. I just plugged the numbers into the 12 volt's calculator every way I could think of and those are the numbers I came up with. -

What up ninjas! Glad to see the family representing on the forum. What does that mean? That Audiopipe 1000 looks nice, anyone have experience running one of those, are they pretty solid amps? -
Wow, dog is getting big, beautiful though.

Do you use a remote knob?

The one I use is for my crossover and it controls the gain and the frequency sweep for my subs so I can adjust everything from the front based on what I'm listening to. -

Cool, that's good to know, thanks. -

So is it better to ground the amp in the trunk somewhere or is it just a waste of wire to run the negative all the way from the battery? -
My name is Hammy, I'm from central OH. I love music, my car, tattoos, aquariums, but most of all my wife and baby girl who just turned 1 last week.

Cheap Headlight Whitening/De-foggy Look
Aurelios replied to xAndrew225x's topic in Automotive and Performance
It took about 1 month for the headlights to go from how they looked in picture 2 back to how they looked in picture 1. I kinda prefer the store bought because it was only 6 dollars and I still have half a bottle left after over a year of cleaning them up about every month. It only takes about 10 minutes and they are cleared up again, just a couple paper towels is all you need. -

Well these are my results. First picture is how they looked when I decided to first clean them up, second is the result from the homemade mix and the third is the result from the store bought compound. -
Thanks everyone! Glad to be here.

I have tried using the toothpaste and baking soda/water mix, also tried a headlight lens restorer compound from the store, and I have found little to no difference. They both make it clear up fairly well, it just doesn't last. I have been wanting to try the Turtle Wax headlight lens restorer kit, it includes two different compounds, three different grades of grit paper, and a polishing rag. Seems like it has everything to do the job and last for a while. -
Tinting Taillight's And Headlights
Aurelios replied to nick9892's topic in Automotive and Performance
I had a buddy with a 09 Honda Accord who put actual window tint on his headlights and tail lights. Maybe not the smartest idea to do it on the headlights seeing as how he said he had to drive with his brights on, but it did look pretty good. I know its made to be on the inside of your windows, but its been having fun with the lovely Ohio weather for the past 6 months without problems. -

Searching through car audio stores, liked yours because you have a lot of stuff no one else does. Then found the forum and had to check it out.
