You could. There is no such thing as under powering a sub. It would even leave some room for upgrades in the future assuming your dead set on the icons

Were you planning on upgrading your electrical too? If not I wouldn't try to push more than 1500W. Even that much is too much for my comfortability. Have you thought of just getting a single 15 on around 1000W? You could get a nice 15 and a nice amp within that budget. Just a thought

Easy to figure out. Measure your workable dimensions and see. I believe SSA does recones

You could look into the presale for Sundowns SD-2 line. They're not a full on shallow mount sub though. I don't know if they would fit your needs or not, but here is the thread if you wanted to look into it Sundown SD-2 10/12 "500-Watt" Subwoofer Pre-Order
  7. RMS rating on speakers is fairly useless. It will depend on how much space they etc. I don't know enough to comfortably recommend you anything, but I can say that I would go out and listen to some different sets and see what kind of sound you like.

I would much rather have an SSA product.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Did they actually post that shit? I can't imagine how many heads rolled if they did. Supposedly their account was hacked. Here's a link to the story Foxnewspolitics Twitter Feed Hacked

Those are bandpass. I meant vented. 4th order vented is a typical ported enclosure you see here at SSA. I was telling you to focus on what you tune your box to. I wouldn't suggest a bandpass for what you're after.

That will depend on the box and tuning more than the driver. A BTL can do what your talking about just fine in the right enclosure. Try modeling the response curve and see what you get.

    What's wrong with this website???

I use chrome on my pc at home and opera at work and both were performing fine for me

    Dual 12" L7's ?

I don't believe that amp has an adjustable SSF. I don't know if your going to be running ported or not and you may not need one, but its good to know. IMO you would be much better off with an amp from sundown for the money. There's nothing wrong with L7's despite what you may hear. They need a lot of volume to perform well which can be an issue depending on the amount of room you have. I think you can find a better sub for that kind of money. Have you considered just running a single 15 in a good ported enclosure?

    Please identify!!

Haven't you posted this before and refused to show pictures of any other parts of the sub? Maybe let some people see this writing and the coils etc if you want help identifying it.

    Hello From Japan!

You've got an R32! Seriously badass cars.

    What do you guys think?

Don't choose a sub by its rms rating for starters. All the subs mentioned will be fine on your amplifier if you are smart about it. A single 18 is more in line with your budget. If you decided to go with a single 18 I would suggest the ZCON or BTL for what you've described. Not all SSA products are SQ based. The ZCON is geared towards SPL, but SSA will not make a product that doesn't sound good.

    What do you guys think?

Within that budget a pair of SSD's or SA-15's would work. A pair of Icon 15's would cost a little more, but would make for a very nice system IMO. They're not currently in stock though.

    What do you guys think?

I like the 15's idea as well. Honestly I just don't like the idea of installing a bunch of mediocre 12's. Do they have to be infinnitys? A pair of nice 15's or a nice 18 would yield much more favorable results than a bunch of Infinnitys IMO. I don't even know the model so I could be wrong, but I just prefer to go with products I know are well made.
