Another plasma believer! People always dog on plasma but I really don't know TV I've like better than Travis' (Tmax98) plasma TV Indeed. Much better blacks. If I had a dark enough room I'd have gone with a plasma.
-
There was a thread on the subject over at HAF awhile ago. I'd link you to it, but I'm on my phone.

How much light is in the room? I'm not sure for gaming, but for movies plasma is the way to go. That is unless the room is totally drenched in sunlight.

Watched that episode Sunday. Car is amazing, but I hate that CF hood. Interior isn't my favorite either. The film they put together was really cool, that had to be amazing driving around LA with completely open roads. Is the HP reduction they're claiming really true? I believe it to an extent, but I just don't believe it really changed the car the way he's trying to lead us to believe. I didn't like the hood either. I don't mind them on black or gray cars, but they really look better painted. I don't know how significant his power loss is, but my Mustang would suffer from heat soak after a few minutes and would easily lose 40 or more HP, so I imagine that car in that environment would lack a significant amount of power. There is a sensor After of the air filter but before the mass air meter called an ambient air temp sensor and it does just what it's title indicated. Add that in with the temp sensor and the computer will cut timing drastically and power will diminish. Thanks, that's been bugging me. It just seemed so drastic in the film so I was questioning it. Easy to believe the heat will rob you of some performance, but I didn't know it could be that much.

Some lady scratched the shit out of her 7 series on the way out of the garage today. Made me cringe

Multiple amp electrical questions
Luke.H replied to gunghoblazes's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
All your questions have been asked before and can be answered by using the search button and reading around. 1. No, music is dynamic so the power being sent from your amp is always changing. A cheap amp usually won't do rated power. Reliability is the main concern when buying a cheap amp. 2. Never 3. Yes, but it's not usually a good idea and you won't really gain any audible output by doing so within reason 4. Need more info to answer that. If you want more thorough answers just search around. to SSA -
LOL That's the first time I've heard that

Not bad for an ugly car. Hell I can take twins and build a 3.8 Buick or Ford and get the same results for about $30K including the car. It'll pull the front wheels too and look a hell of a lot better. And handle the way that thing does? It's an ugly car no question about that, but the way they've managed to get that car to drive is pretty impressive.

fuck the numbers game, i'll take your 110 over Florida's 95 any day. I can't even walk to the car without my balls sticking to my legs, god forbid I should walk more than 1/4 mile because clammy skin = friction in all the wrong places. Very true. God damn I hate humidity. It makes sleeping at night without AC unbearable.
-
Valid point. Relatively small difference and the added HP would be well worth it. Especially considering you already have the supercharger available.
-
Had to do the same. Super fun

Yep, I eventually killed that motor. Parted out the car, but kept the charger. Figured I probably wouldn't buy another in my life as I'd buy Turbo's most likely if I were building a car, but at the same time thought a fun project might just eventually roll my way. And that of course is half the reason. The other is that it is inconsequential money to do the rest. I really just need a few pipes and a tune. I always thought those Yamaha engines were supposed to be pretty durable, lol. I can see your reasoning behind the SC. If you've got it and it will indeed save fuel then why not. It will likely be the first boosted Bu

Black Flag? You? Not to listen to, to piss people off with. And of course only to teach them a lesson and in retaliation. I used to be a Sound Engineer, but also the manager of the bar I worked at. When we closed I had to stay until people left. I found the easiest way to get people to leave was to play Black Flag so loud that they couldn't talk. Usually took less than 5 minutes to empty the bar. Fuck yelling last call and gtfu out a bunch. Black Flag baby. And yes, used to be a huge Rollins nut. Fun to watch live that is for sure. lol I would probably leave too. Decent band. Not a big punk fan either. Pixies onwards for me Funny, I ripped Doolittle onto a memory stick for the boat the first day I went out. One of my favorite albums and Hey is easily in my top 10

Both are great subs, but we'll need some clearly defined goals to make a recommendation.

Sevilles are pretty neat cars. I'm not the biggest Cadillac fan, but I like those. GL with the install

What type of super charger are you using? You just mentioned it was a centrifugal SC. What did it come from? Curious why you just had one laying around. The SHO you mentioned?

Ah, makes sense now. What kind of boat? Danzi or Foutain or something similar? Ranger, lol. Knew you had one, but god damn I had no idea they went like that. Has that been sold yet? The only fishing boats the store dad used to work at carried were Trackers, lol so high end ones are foreign to me.
-
Sweet. Actually the first time I had ever skied in a dual boot. Took me three tries to get up, but again considering its been 3 years and only 3 times in 15 that isn't too bad. After that first try every time That's not bad at all. I don't even want to say how many it took me

I went skiing too. Gave slalom a good effort and managed to get up a couple of times on one ski from a deep water start. I'm only 20 and I was sore as hell the next morning.
-
hell yes. Now you'll really be able to enjoy that boat for what it was made for. Good wake makes all the difference
