Bass Boost shouldn't be on at all. -
UK or USA? USA, sorry I should have clarified. The cheap car challenge episodes of the UK Top Gear are my favorite ones. The USA version has been overdoing it and it's getting old IMO.

That's a bummer. All the more reason to get the Pantera

Top Gear is getting carried away with the cheap car challenges.

Well, that sucks. Looking at another SUV? Diesel?

Sounds like that's your high pass filter. It tells the amp what frequencies to filter out, so set it at 40hz and it won't play anything above 40hz. You can't just set your amp to some level that you feel is low and call it a day. Let your ears tell you where to set it and remember there's no need to set it to the very edge as it won't gain you anything. -
The ladies in the window are pretty sweet though.

I think that's the ugliest car I've ever seen. The pink interior and that velour or whatever. My god.

If you're considering a Transmission Line enclosure I suggest you read Martin King's work. There are different types of T-lines. Some are quite similar to a standard 4th order vented and others are not. Considering your space I think a standard 4th order vented would suit your goals just fine and I'm not sure at all if that AB sub is suited for a T-line. I think a larger enclosure would help out with low end extension and certainly be more efficient. You don't have the kind of cabin gain like you do in a car to help you out so things are different than car audio. Here's a link to some useful information on T-lines Quarter Wavelength Loudspeaker Design

Highlighter party. Never seen so many dicks and swastikas drawn on peoples backs......mostly by me.

And then no dress clothes Never said there was anything wrong with boots, just that dress boots is an oxymoron. Of course if you go to church near where my wife is from polished work boots, a Vikings shirt, and jeans if ultra clean are considered dress clothes. Ah, I see where the confusion is. I'm not talking about polished work boots; I only wear these particular boots with formal attire. Cheaper and more comfortable than any pair of full brogue oxfords I have come across. If I need to kick some shit, I pull out the Red Wing lace ups. All my construction friends swear by Red Wings or Tims. Danners are the best work boot I've ever found, double the price though. I'll pass that on. They complain that the waterproofing wears out fairly quickly so I think they try to buy cheap since they're replacing them frequently.

Seas ER18: http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/approx-6-7-woofers/seas-prestige-er18rnx-h1456-7-reed-paper-cone-woofer/ I think Ryan J is selling some Peerless HDS tweeters as well for $120

He's an SNL cast member if you're one of the few people who still watch it.

Sullivan! You chode! I owe you a shot to the nuts!

I hate Andy Samberg. I don't get what's so funny about those songs. Hot Rod was great though.

You can buy the kce-236b which runs from the back of the unit and gives you aux input. It's around $20. Since you don't need iPod integration you might be able to use an older Alpine unit with BEP and it will be a little bit cheaper. I'm not sure about the older ones, but I know the front channel on the 9887 can be highpassed as low as you want which is good for using a midrange and mid. No L&R eq though.
-
Only in Texas would this start with boots. I thought the same thing, lol. No mention of a bolo tie
-
If you want to use a midrange it HAS to be on axis. No exceptions that I'm aware of. I would start with a mid and a midrange and see if you feel you need the tweeter for the top end. You might be surprised. When I was looking for processing to run active I decided to go with a HU that had the capability because it is a lot more convenient, especially if you're new to it. Mostly because you'll be making so many adjustments. If you don't mind the glide control the 9855 is a nice choice. The only concern I have is I think that unit requires a now discontinued adapter box to get iPod compatibility. If I remember right it was fairly expensive for the actual unit (not just the cable). The 9887 only requires a cheap ($20ish) cable that connects directly to the back of the unit. Not sure how important iPod functionality via usb is to you, but it's something to consider if it is a feature you care about. Personally, I'd stay away from those HAT drivers. Just seem really over priced IMO and I'm sure something of equal quality can be found for less.

Ugh, I hate those things. I went to a ton looking for an internship. Now that I've got one I still ended up going to two already this year. Good luck.
