You're an idiot. You should really research Way to bash the all so much better BTL. They sound better, and they look cooler, and stronger.

Anyone do a clamp test yet? Awesome amp

Fi BTL N3 for SQ?! Are you out of your mind? Lol. There were a couple of threads regarding this issue. N3 is aimed toward SPL, and the N2 is more "musical" if you will. And building a box that's optimal for an 18" in the trunk of a TL is sort of hard, Shape of trunk is odd.

Hey guys, I'm just trying to see if anyone has any experience in these fields. I'm fixing to graduate in a few months, and I don't think I'll be going to community college, but if I do, I'll be focusing toward Electrical Engineering. I've loved working on cars for as long as I can remember, but my family disagree's with my choice, due to hard labor and that they only make so-so amounts of money. After researching for a while, average first couple years a technicion makes around 35,000$, Electrical Engineering average starts off around 55,000$. Thats close to a 20,000$ gain. Do you think it is worth it to, go to a technical school? ex; Wyotech, UTI, SAM Houston? I'm planning on going to University of Pennsylvania, my dad will be helping me pay for intuition. I've read what we'll be learning, and I have no idea how to do calculus so far, because I haven't taken it yet. If anything, I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some heads up on other majors. I don't know what else is out there, except for small things. Thanks guys, just wanting to see what I can do later in life.

There is no calculus 4, you take calc 1, 2, 3 and then DiffEQ. Engineering is ridiculous...kicks my butt. Haha, oh. I didn't know, but I'll let you tell me, I was just reading their curriculum. http://www.seas.upenn.edu/undergraduate/degrees/maj-mechanical.php

Just looking at Calculus 4 makes me want to change my major, I guess I'll see whats out there. Anyone want to share what they're majoring, or have majored in?

I'm looking towards mechanical engineering also.. My dad always wanted me to do this, and I've been saying I'll do it someday since I was about 6. I'll just get help when I need it. Good luck to ya'll, hope this economy gets better.. http://www.usdebtclock.org/ ^^^^ Scary!

Haha a "loooooooong" time ago lol Dang, I heard. My mom is telling me about people she cuts hair for, about how they're losing their jobs, or not making as much as they used to. And my dad, well, he's doing fine but he doesn't live with us, he lives up north. I don't want to waste money on a technical school, just read an article or two about it. 30,000$ for intuition when I can get grants, and financial aid for UoP for half the price. Calculus 4 scares me..

Wood thickness is by far one of the most important things when creating a system. Like they said up there, the thicker the more durable, the less flex you have. Also, bracing is a must!

Thank you kind sir

I'm going to build a box for a buddy of mine that has a 1988 Camaro Iroc-Z. It's not going to be in the wheel weld as of other boxes. But right behind the rear seats. In this picture where the amp is located, there will be an enclosure for them, and it won't cover up the whole trunk area. I am going to use dual 4" Areo ports, and I was wondering how long will they have to be to have a tuning of 32-32hz. I'm thinking 1.6-8 cubes in total for both subs, and the amp I am using is a Polk Audio 4channel 800 watt amp that will be bridged to run at 4 ohms. The aim is mostly for SPL since there is no true SQ. But he would like to be able to listen to a variety of music, such as: rock, rap, alternative, just about any random think you can think of. not really.. His system as of right now is running an Alpine CDA-9884 running Infinity 4x6 fronts, and pioneer 6x9, and will be removing the extra set of 6x9 running off the amp. Just a little help, if you can. Thanks SSA!

for 200$ You can go to dB-R electronics and get a Refurb'd SAZ-1200D! Extremely sick, and is probably the better choice, good luck fella

My apologizes to anyone on this forum that may hate me or dislike me anyway, lol.. Upgrading from thie Foxconn 45CMX Micro ATX motherboard, from 4 gigs of DDR2 @ 834mhz, and my old ass Pentium Dual Core E2200! 2.4ghz @ 3.0ghz. Soon to be upgrading to a Biostar T5 XE LGA 1156 ATX Motherboard! Intel Core i3 540 @ 3.06ghz it solidly rapes AMD's 940, for under 20$ it is able to beat or come within close conditions of the quad except for on Multitasking applications! http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/143?vs=80 And last but least, my ram is the G.SKILL Ripjaws Series, 2x2gb @ 1600mhz. Some local car audio company had that in a ported enclosure, he said it was the "true W7 killer". It sounded okay, better then the other equipment he had in all pre-fab boxes, even the 15's. But the box looked rather more designed for the BA and the others were all too small for them
