Hi, so i sent my sub in a month ago and was wondering if their was any kind of update i could get or how much longer i could expect until it's finished. Sorry, i understand you guys are probably backed up to hell, but you had the shipment label created on the 20th so it's been their a near full 4 weeks. Thanks for any kind of update. (if needed) My name is chase howard.

So i got my FI Q back from a recone like 2 weeks ago. and since it's been hooked up i hear like a rattling type of sound when the bass hits during the majority of songs (some sound fine usually the loud bass songs) i went next to the sub to hear where it was coming from and it sounds like it's coming from the sub itself any idea as why this would be happening? Also if i put my back seats up (my box sits flush with the back seats so the sub faces the cabin while i drive so with the seats up the sub is touching the back seats limiting it's excursion) the sound dissapears and it sounds like clean bass on any song but since it is limiting it's excursion it is noticeably quieter and loud bass songs i can't play (well i could but i feel like i'd be damaging the sub) so anyone know why the sound is their? and 2nd is it harmful to the sub for it to be restricted with it's movement?

sorry not to tech savvy when it comes to subs so i'm not sure what you are referring too. However, the sub itself is a good 4-5+ years old if that helps at all. It also had one side of the leads blown off with the original tinsel leads and the other side was connected with some newer tinsel leads you guys sent me a year or two back. Sub would work if the other tinsel leads were connected i just wanted to replace it all and have it be like new with the re-cone. (just fyi)

Yes all my info was included in the package. It was a 12" Fi Q dual 2 ohm and i believe the dustcap ordered was the original white option.

How did you get the blacked out dustcap? that's sexy i just ordered a re-cone and black wasn't an option Nick if you read this anyway i can change that if you haven't finished yet?

What color are those dustcaps? those look sexy. might get them.

Ups is the only option it has for shipping, is it okay for me to send it to them through FedEx or is the shipping that is included in the checkout for incoming and return shipping? 2.What address do i send it too? 3. Expected time before it is shipped back? Anything else i should know? Thanks in advance can't wait to have my sub working again.

The Question(s): BP,Basket,and Send in sub are some of the options.. 1.Can i get the BP power option if mine didn't originally have it? 2.Basket? do i say yes or no? Not sure what this option means exactly i have the sub is this paying for a new metal basket where the sub sits in?? sorry probably a really newb question but ya.. 3.Send in the sub? I want to send it in since i don't know how to re-cone and don't really wanna risk messing it up. but will i be sent a box to send the sub in or do i just send it in? Hi new to the forums don't know too much about car audio but a fairly good amount. So, my sub stopped working all-together so i pulled out the sub and saw one of the tinsel leads were no longer connected.. This happened once before a good year or 2 ago and i replaced just the 2 that were blown off and left the other 2(which 1 of thoose has no blown). I remember it being a pain replacing before and when i finished it, it had a strange noise on certain songs the way the bass would hit so instead of trying that again i thought i should just do a whole re-cone and have it be like new. So still no response (9 days) as far as my E-Mail i sent. This is like the 5th no response I've gotten in the last year or so. I love FI and have heard nothing but good things about their customer service but i have yet to experience it. :/ Can anyone here answer all my original questions so i can just order the re-cone and not mess anything up. That's why i was hoping someone here could help.. If you don't use a subject or have some gank email like 'imtoosexyformyshirt@your mom is really hot dot com' then i'm not going to get it.. You can do a partial BP option..but we cannot do a full BP on a Q that has already been built and magnetized... Thanks i'll try sending you another one and my email is just my full name. 2. Is your basket broken? if not i'd say no. 3. You should of kept the box, there is a Giant sticker on the box saying "keep your box and packing materials" if you send in a heavy woofer through UPS or someone else, it will be broken, the metal slugs may move, the basket may break etc. I never got a box since i purchased the sub used it was just sent in some box. And the basket looks perfectly fine to me (if it's what i'm thinking it is)
