factory headlights. when i unplug my sub amp rcas it goes away but when they are plugged in its a bad whine, really loud too. i also have no idea why i cant get my xcon to get loud. with the gain all the way up you can barely hear it. i will try to ground the rca's. sorry if im not making sense i am exhausted.

i guess it is. i grounded it to metal inside of the dash, a lot better than when it was just grounded to the factory wire harness, but still has noise. just got home from work and i drive for my job and its driving me crazy. especially with my headlights one

its an alpine deck, no pioneer never was a fan, and if the rca output was bad would that be why my xcon seems like its getting barely any power. i cant get it loud no matter what, i can barely hear it and can only tell its getting something by feeling it

alright, so i after taking my stock radio out and installing a my alpine deck i am getting a lot of noise. right now i just have the power going to the HU, no speakers no rcas or anything and im still getting the noise. wish i had the money to get my new speakers and amp to get rid of this! would that be a bad ground on the factory amp? here is what im dealing with this is the little factory amp for the speakers Uploaded with ImageShack.us and im not sure what these wires all taped up are for, goes somewhere in the dash that i couldnt follow Uploaded with ImageShack.us heres the 2 connections that plug into it Uploaded with ImageShack.us and this is how it plugs into the HU Uploaded with ImageShack.us

the speakers were wired to the factory amp, but no rcas to the HU. and yes, i know the difference. it was the speakers and i had no problem with the stock radio

all i need is a dust cap. been waiting on it for about 2 weeks now

are you sure those are right? because i ordered a 15" xcon and it says the shipping weight is only 39lbs on it

i just saw the ssa black friday sale on the 15" XCON for 289 plus shipping. even though i just got an ICON i am considering picking the XCON up. but im wondering if 1000 watts would be enough power for a while till i am able to get the proper amp for it. dont wanna do something wrong by underpowering it
