Hey guys! New FI owner, may have some questions!
Hzd Skizzy replied to q-ball's topic in Newbie Sign IN
You need more experience because i have heard 1750wrms subs on 500wrms and they will get loud. depends on the amp only if they true to power some amps say 500 watts and you lucky to get 300 Taking in voltage drop, volume, and music being so dynamic, i I guess you could say no amp does rated either. Which amps are you talking about that do not do rated? -
Thanks for the answer. Once everything is installed of mine, would love to rent one of the LCD Meters.
-
No, it lets you hook your aftermarket amplifiers up to it via RCA without having to get a new headunit.
-
I thought about this and its probably the route im going to go but I am hesitant wiring a 1200w mono amp to a factory amp. It doesn't seem efficient to me I don't think you can do that anyways. If your hesitant to go messing around with your headunit, you can have the shop install it. Reason I recommend the rockford 3sixty is because it has 6 channels, if you ever want to expand and buy a speaker amp, you can just plug that into the LOC as well.
-
If your keeping ur stock h/u, go for a Line Out Converter. Lets you plug the rca's in to it and keep your stock head unit. There's a guy on this forum selling a rockford fosgate 3sixty. Take a look at it.

I feel like this thread was made for all the wrong reasons. Oh, and I hope you get a ticket from the cops you piss off. What goes around comes around.

Went into an audio shop just to pick up some speaker wire, and the guy asked me what I was running in terms of power, subs and electrical. I said well it's not all in yet but 2 SSA Xcon 10's, immediately interrupted me and said oohh are those those subs with the quad coil? In my mind I was thinking (totally) but I told him no, they're Dual 1's. He said please tell me your not running at 1 ohm. I said yeah I am, is something wrong with that? He asked to see my amp and I had it in my truck so I brought it in. He looked at the power inputs, and Rca side and said, yeah this amp is not 1 ohm stable, you'll burn your stuff up in a second. (This is a saz-3500d) He says also, this 3500 you see at the front is a max rating, it will actually only do around 1,500 @ 2ohm if your lucky. I said OHRLY. I pulled out the little sundown manual and showed him everything he tried to prove me wrong on. He said oh. well good luck with your system, and walked to the back of the shop.

Not saying this is where he got it, especially since they just stopped carrying some leather, but people seem to have good luck with: http://www.yourautotrim.com/ Sweet, thanks.

Wow, I love that box. Where'd you get the leather?

Welcome Shizzon to SSA.

So I haven't been very good with updating this thread, have been working but anyways... So far I have all the electrical done, the Incriminator Audio Coaxial's have been put in along with the sax-50.4 has been bridged and put in. The speakers sound pretty good in my opinion. I can't really compare them to anything but my stock ones, and they blow them out of the water in terms of sound quality and volume. I'll get picture of them up in a little. The enclosure for the xcons should be coming in late this week or early of the next week. It was made by TRP and can be found in his section. Battery box is complete and wired up. All I need to do is add the boc and subs and it pretty much should be complete for functionality. I have plans to make everything look good but for now I'm getting everything in and working.

Should i amp my front or rear 6.5s?
Hzd Skizzy replied to Briggiboy33's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
1000 is the "max rating". 55x2 @ 4ohm is the RMS. -
I used to have my paintball guns anodized sometimes. If you are worried about the lettering, they can do that with laser engraving. I used to get my guns anodized and engraved here. They say they do things other than guns, talk to them about your amp. http://www.lasermygun.com/?id=home

So I guess with the new for sale section update, there isn't a feedback section anymore. Unless I could not find it? Maybe we can get a new one made? Anyways! I sent Sean a payment for a Dcon, and as usual, he sent the package immediately, and as usual it arrives completely as described and in a very timely order! In this case it was brand new in box, and it sure was! Only complaint I can make is that I buy all of Sean's stuff and I'm broke now. In all serious though, he is a great guy to deal with, takes it seriously, and I have absolutely NO hesitation to make another transaction with him! Thanks Sean!

When I took the SAT's 1600 was a perfect score. Yeah that was out of 2400. Critical Reading and math made up the 1600 and the writing section made it out of 2400.
-
They say if you did not so well on SAT you should do better on ACT in a fair comparison. That's what happened for me. 1700 on SAT and 32 on ACT.

Op, here is what i'd honestly do. Here is a link to a box that was supposed to be mine, but I back out on it for other reasons. its 4.0 tuned to 32hz it was made for 2 AA Havocs. Argent was an awesome box maker on SSA. It is almost the SAME dimensions as you have on your current box. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/miscellaneous-car-audio-classifieds/534982-fs-dual-12-enclosure-4-0-%40-32-hz.html -

I'm sorry, I pretty much JUST found the new classifieds feedback section. Mods feel free to move =)
-
That will depend on your install. Basically the box you put it in will determine its performance.

Sound quality as in the quality of the sound it produces.

Pick the loudest one that still has tons of SQ.
