Some goals of mine are: To eat healther, feel better, walk up the 3 flights of stairs in my school without getting winded. I would like to lose all of this fat. I would like to become stronger, I would like to look healthier and look better. Don't really care what the scale says but really losing fat is the main thing. Confidence is a big key here. For me, the better I look the more confidence I have. I go to Planet Fitness Mon-Fri 30 minutes of cardio each day and then I do a plan of workouts that are different for each day of the week. For example, Mon is Arms and Chest, Tuesdays are 30 minute circuits, Wensdays are Back and Shoulders, Thursdays are 30 minute circuits, Fridays are Legs and core. If you need anymore info let me know.

Full gain doesn't mean full power. You can have full power at half gain. It's not a volume knob like some people recognize it to be. Plus you can never tell how many watts your amp is putting out without clamping and testing. Gain is all about matching the h/u signal to the amp. @ OP It's probably still tight give it a few weeks and come back. It's sealed, 10" sub, and 500w.

To give you a reference, I'm 17. This may not be what you want to hear, but I would just keep what you have. You have a nice truck from what i see. Sounds like you like to work on it. I say drive it until it dies. Plus, you may not end up with 1000$ dollars at the end because shit happens. You are going to make a mistake and accidents happen. I ALWAYS keep a 2000$ "Oh Shit fund" in my bank. For example if something went mechanically wrong in my car, id have 2k to fix it and get back on the road. Instead of having no money, a broken car, but a badass sound system. Plus, us teens we make mistakes. Just something to think about.

Got on the phone with Dennis, I asked if they had an alternator for my 2.0l Mazda 3 2007. Told me I was in luck. I asked a few questions then I made the payment. very happy with the ease of ordering the product. The very next day, unfortunatly my car was totaled. Claimed totally unfixable. This of course means I do not need the alternator anymore. Called Mechman the very next day and explained the situation. He told me it was no problem and the money would be refunded. All transactions about returning the alternator were dealt with by Eric. He handled it very promptly and very professionaly. A few emails and a couple days later my money was refunded. I told Eric, that if he carried an alternator for my next vehicle (unknown) I will definitly purchase from mechman. I am very happy with how everything was handled and how fast it was taken care of. Once again, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused, and hope it will never happen again. Felt like I needed to type this to let everyone know that Mechman's communication and customer service is excellent. Do not hesitate to deal with Mechman. Thank you. -Jay

Gas would be the problem there. I'm looking at Chevy Colorados with the inline 5 3.5l. -
My Transaction with Mechman
Hzd Skizzy replied to Hzd Skizzy's topic in Mechman High Output Alternators
Yes, everyone is okay, just a very unfortunate occurence. Felt like it was needed to comment on how understanding they were of my situation and how they took care of it in such a timely manner. I feel like it's rare to get such great customer service these days. -
try what nick said maybe? check your ssf and lpf on your amp.

I'm in the same boat. Paid the deposit invoice on June 7th, checking in July 5th to see how things were going. On July 6th he replied telling me that the enclosure was going to be done by the end of the week and ready to ship on the following week. Weeks passed. Checking in again August 21st and no reply. I have sent a few emails recently pertaining to the enclosure status. Here I am September 5th and no idea what the hell is going on. Not sure how to check, but I'm thinking my chance to dispute has passed?

Mine rattled on stock speakers lol hahaha. We have the same amp, just realized.

Im sorry to hear that hope your ok and about the rear deck it flexes like crazy but doesn't really rattle what did you do anyways ? Everyone is all good. Just a few airbag burns lol. Yeah they must be designed differently then, mine rattled like CRAZY before I treated it. Some of the main rattles were the rear of the rear deck flexing and smacking the back window. Easy fix was to just put a blanket on the rear deck to separate the deck and window. You don't have to stuff the blanket but just lay it on the rear deck and it looks alright as well. As far as under the rear deck, they would smack the seatbelt fasteners and a small thin sheet of sheet metal. There was a make shift foam pad under it but it didn't cover the most crucial places. Took that out. Bought some CLD tiles to cover the sheet metal, then some CCF (Closed Cell Foam). Cut 2 sheets of ccf to the dimensions of the rear deck and placed one on top of the other. Then i took some scrap ccf and wrapped it around the seatbelt fasteners. If you wrap to much around it will interfere with the retraction of the seatbelt so make sure you test the seatbelts BEFORE you close everything back up... that was my mistake. So after all that work i turned on my car crossed my fingers and boom! perfect! Was so relieved. And just to test it out, during a bass line i removed the blanket off the top of the rear deck and it started rattling again so it actually does work haha. But if yours isn't rattling then you dodged a bullet my friend haha. PS. Forgot to add, all sound deadener products used were Sound Deadener Showdown products. Dom walked me through the whole thing, gave me exactly what I needed, and instructions of how much was needed in certain areas and where to put certain items. Great guy, great items.

You got a nice car. Loved my Mazda 3, it was totaled very recently on Aug. 30th. T-Boned someone who decided to make a U-turn on a sharp blind curve on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. was a 50-0 dead stop crash, guy I hit had a pretty sturdy Dodge Durango. Noone was hurt but the car was deemed totaled. Came out with out a scratch. Just letting you know you have a awesome car. By the way, all the 04-09 mazdas have that really annoying rear deck rattling, I don't know if the 10-11's are designed differently but if you need tips on how to get rid of the noise just let me know.

Sorry but this is an extremely stupid thread. There are to many factors to determine to which one would sound better. It can also depend on the listeners ear and what he likes. He may very well think that a BTL N3 in a high tuned burp box may sound better than a SSA XCON in a nice low tuned enclosure. It just depends on what he likes and what he wants.

You would just glue them together and use clamps on them until the glue dries to keep it together. If you go to the Argent Audio section, look at the pictures of boxes he's made so you can get an idea. If your dad's a carpenter he should have clamps.

Aye thats not bad, my 2.0 Mazda 3 puts out 800hp stock and when I put in my cool air intake, it bumped it to a good 900hp. Let's street race.

He needs to know your max dimensions of the trunk so he doesn't build it to tall or to wide etc etc. If you only want to use a certain part of the trunk then give him the dimensions of what you want to use out of your trunk and he will work up a design. DCONS work fine ported or sealed. Ported tends to be louder with the same application but it needs a bigger box than sealed. He will also tune the port to your desire but recommended for a daily driver is anywhere from 30-35hz I went 32hz on my box. Sealed wont be as loud as the ported enclosure but it won't need to be as large as the ported box. Tends to produce more accurate bass tones. Obviously the optimal sealed box won't be as costly as the optimal ported box. Hope this helped. Make sure you take a tape measure to your trunk. All he needs is Height x Width x Depth.

if you lift you are going to gain mass, which is going to make you gain weight(muscle weighs more than fat) so if you are looking at the scale it will not do you justice. however muscle mass burns fat. If you are seriously cutting out the junk foods, losing weight shouldn't be hard at all. Add in some whey protein to help your muscles recover faster and keep your muscles growing....this also works while cutting. depending on ur goals you can either lift heavy now to get your muscles and later drop body fat to see ur results or go through the cutting phase now and get lean, then build on solid muscle mass lb for lb later. ur not going to be ripped at 20%+ body fat, btw Although everyones body is different and you have to find a routine that works for you. If everyone had all of the answers we would all be a 9x Olympian like ronnie coleman. I will get to this in a second ^^^ But first of all I appreciate all of the advice and ideas. I spoke with a personal trainer at my gym and he gave me a workout program between Arms, Chest, Shoulders, Back, Core, and Legs. All on different days of the week of course and 30 minutes of Cardio each day Im at the gym which will now be Mon-Friday. I have cut ALL soft drinks out of the equation but I will have a sweet tea every now and then. Otherwise it's just water. Cut most fried foods, wont eat fries or anything like that. Strength training takes anywhere from 30-50 minutes depending on what part of the body Im working on, on that day. So I spend at least 1 hour in the gym. Dj, I probably should have rephrased my goals, I could care less what the scale says (within reason), I really just want to lose all of this extra baggage, gain stamina and gain some muscle. I stated a goal weight to just have a number to look forward to. If I never achieve that number, but if I know im healthy and I look healthy (lean, thinner) then I'll be happier than ever. As far as gaining muscle goes, Im not looking to be super built and ripped, just stronger and look better. If I really can't build muscle and lose the fat at the same time, then Im looking to get lean now, gain muscle later. My fear is that it will take a very long time to lose this weight then ill be un motivated to gain the muscle.

If I may suggest another subwoofer. AA Havocs, I love mine, they sound real good and got pretty loud while doing it. They were in a sealed box I made while Andrew is working on the ported one. Just a personall review on them. If you liked the look of the ICON these have the same "dish" cone.

I would def buy your dcon.

Yeah like those mats that go under your rug if you have a hardwood floor so the rug wont move.

This could be a stupid question but does this go for the AA line as well?

2000 for 2 SA-10's
Hzd Skizzy replied to zooyorkajd's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
We are not saying don't do it, we are saying be careful when you do. Be responsible with your gains and smart with your settings, have a good electrical to back up the power, and remember that the gain knob is not a volume knob. -
It is an absolute miracle that they have one for my 3 now. Thank you mechman and ssa.

2000 for 2 SA-10's
Hzd Skizzy replied to zooyorkajd's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Noone is going to know until YOU do it. If one guy says he's running 2000 watts to his sa-10's and they are working just fine, well good for that guy, it does not mean you can AT ALL. Every application is different and will not work the same. As most people say on this forum, if you have to ask how much a woofer could possibly take, then you probably shouldn't do it or stick to the rms rating which is what I would do. You also have other things to think about. Do you have a stable and sound electrical system to support that 2000 watts? For example, this guy could be running 2000 watts to his sa-10s but he has (for example only) a DC Power 270xp, 1 d3100 up front and 2 D3400's in the back and it will bump all day and not get warm once. While the other guy running the same amp and subs is clipping the hell out of them and plays the subs for 30 minutes before it thermally fails due to the excessive heat from clipping the woofer because he spent no money on the much needed electrical upgrades. That's why I stress that every application is different, and that noone will know until you actually do it. This was very long winded but I hope it helped. -

Sundown Audio vs Hifonics
Hzd Skizzy replied to Angelboy863's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The answer you will get on this forum will be sundown audio because well... Jacob is the best at customer service, we know what he makes works based on the reviews that you can read just about everywhere, and then theres always the bandwagoners who just say sundown because its sundown. As for myself i do run an saz-2500d which works amazingly, but look at it from the hifonics side. Its a cheap solution is what i would say. From what I have heard the HFi line is actually very overrated. But everyone has to realize that Hifonics did have a strong line in the Brutus series of amps. If your not looking to spend a ton and still get the power you want look into the brutus amps that hifonics makes. If money doesn't matter then i would go for sundown. I brought up cheap ways because I know how you just got your car stolen and that's rough so good luck bud.
