Ditto, Scott. But there are still a lot of dummies up here who haven't figured out winter driving yet....after an entire life-time in Saskatchewan.

Impressive to say the least.

Thanks Can I pick your physics knowledge about turntable stands? With the damn springy floor that I've got in the apartment...going wall-mounted would be ideal if not for damaging the wall Of course you can. OK, given my really less-than-perfect environment (3rd floor, carpeted floors, no wall mounting available), how would you suggest building a stand to best prevent outside vibrations from affecting the 'table? I've seen roughly two camps on this, one seems to be using a very light stand that's spiked to the floor, the other involves just getting as much mass as possible and putting the turntable on top of that. I'm no expert in any way but it seems to me the approaches are saying: 1. Remove mass to push the frequencies at which the stand resonates into a higher passband, or 2. Add mass to push the frequencies at which the stand resonates into a lower passband. I would guess that adding mass is a better approach. The amplitude of the resonant frequencies is decreased as mass is added and the passband is pushed down (much like adding mass to a door panel or layers to an enclosure). It seems to me that a large, heavy stand would be much more effective. But Sean might have some different ideas.

I need to get some sonotube, too, in the interest of fun. I watched "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" for the first time tonight. Interesting....

I have to be cautious. I was sent free drivers from the folks at TC Sounds so I don't want to overstep my boundaries too much but I have a few emails confirming what Kevin from One-Magnet is saying. And Kevin's email that he forwarded to me from Thilo looks 100% authentic.

This TC Sounds thing is getting fucked quickly. You guys should see the emails I have.

If they're a buildhouse, that sounds about right.

It's more like "Wow, look at her, I've never seen a real boob before. Let's get drunk and fight each other! Dude, your clothes aren't new enough." Maybe they actually are smart but you wouldn't know it to hear them talk.

For a university, there sure are a lot of idiots in here. I think I need to change the way I dress because I look too similar to these characters.

Glad you got something you like. Supa: What's your budget?

went to the track and get a few runs in, new best: 14.825 afterwards, me and another guy in the club (50+ years old, recently separated from his wife) go to Hooters for a snack. he was hitting on our waitress nonstop and somehow managed to get her number Good for him.

Firefox and Opera
DevilDriver replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
I like Maxthon too, but I still stick to Opera...sometimes I use K-Meleon which seems to be a very fast browser. I tried FlashPeak's SlimBrowser after reading a couple good reviews but was disappointed. -

That is how I feel about Japanese cars. Not sure there's any non-German cars I trust (and I certainly don't trust much from Mercedes-Benz).

IA 40.1 used from Scottie Johnson would be a good option. They can do almost 5 kw on a good 14+V system at 1 ohm. And they can drop really low if you need them to for competition. $700+ shipping right now.

Anyone doing anything exciting tonight? I turned down what was sure to be thrilling (*rolls eyes*) bowling and the bar tonight.

Found my answer on s10forum. I'm barely there anymore. And it only took a search!

Actually, I need to find the original e-brake release cable and hook that back up. Not sure where I put it when I took everything apart but the girlfriend hit the e-brake the other night and engaged it so I either have to find where I put the cable or figure out a way to disengage it without the cable.

E-brake is stuck on in my truck. Awesome!

What's happening with the amp line(s)? 20.1 and 40.1's a thing of the past? I seem to remember a little talk about a 4 channel amp as well.

Send an email to sales @ ficaraudio.com. They can take care of you. And the recone kit will feature a coil suited for your XBL^2 motor.
