Trouble with Saz-1500d
xAndrew225x replied to nick9892's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
If it's a remote problem you should be able to stick the wire with a circuit checker probe (little screwdriver thing that lights up when poked into a power source) and see if it's giving power when the car is on. Hope this helps, good luck. -

i had the same problem in my corolla when the part of the dash was pulled out. it was bc i was testing the stereo b4 finishing installing it and hadnt finished plugging the dash buttons in (the caution or emergency lights or whatever) when i hooked the emergency button back up it all worked fine hope this helps, if not good luck! -

my bad man, i totally just re-measured real quick and the port length is 30" not 24" after putting this in my calculations i'm getting 3.1^3 like you said, but it says 32.8hz does this sound better?

i have a bxi1200d (the model b4 the one your looking at) and i have zero problems with it. it isn't the nicest amp out there but personally i think it's one of the best in its price range. if i were you though i'd just get a AQ1200d like said above or a refurbished sundown from db-r.com
-
holy crap. haha at least i was close, thanks alot though. how did you make these calculations?
-
it's 'around' 3.5 cubes, 28 x 16 x 20 Port length? Width? 24" long 2.5" wide. if i'm wrong please let me know. lol Which measurement is the height of the box, 16 or 20? oh yeah, height is 20" width 28" depth 16"

this is the reason i tell my friends its stupid to get things installed at a shop. for one, you don't know how or what the hell they couldve done to hook it all up, secondly its saves money installing yourself and is quite a learning experience. lol good thing you got it figured out though!

i'm sure they can take it, but personally i'd only run it that low at comps, etc. just my 0.2c
-
yeah man, dont get me wrong alpines are nice subs, but sa-12's sound nice-ER
-

i know man, its killing me waiting for it to come in. i guess that'll give me the time to build the box for it. i'm shooting for around 3-3.5 cubes tuned to 32-33hz

Sounds great, looking forward to seeing your build log!

I've always painted my sub boxes and thought i might try giving carpeting a go. I was wondering where you guys buy you carpet from? I'd like something cheap, but of decent/good quality. (doesnt everyone. lol) Thanks in advance
