I was thinking about purchasing a SAE-1200dv2 from dB-r and I noticed that the refurbs they are selling don't come with a bass remote. If I were to buy one where could I get a remote? Straight from Sundown/Jacob? Thanks

Sundown Amp Remote
xAndrew225x replied to xAndrew225x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It's possible that db-r sold the amp you were looking at a week ago and now they have another one for sale without the remote. I should have seen this sooner, I have a Saz-3000d in which i never use the remote and would have been willing to sell it for an appropriate price. ah oh well, thanks anyways! -
i got both bp power and flatwind. i'm pushing about 900 right now, just ordered a new aq1200d and once that comes in i'm sure i'll run it around 1000-1100 daily. doesn't seem to be straining whatsoever at 900, this thing is solid. Very nice man! Thanks for the reply also, now you get to upgrade your posted current system to Fi instead of kicker oh yeah! i forgot about that

Sundown Amp Remote
xAndrew225x replied to xAndrew225x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
thats why i'm confused, i checked db-r about a week ago and it didn't say anything about not having the remote. but as of now, the site says they don't come with one. it isn't a big deal right now though, i just ordered a aq1200d. i guess i'll pick up a sundown next time around, although i'm sure i'll be pleased with the audioque. -
Bassnectar is pretty cool if you like dubstep.

I just bought a 15 inch ssd with flatwind and BP power. Its louder than my 2 12 cvrs and much cleaner. I have a 1200 Watt amp putting about 900 to the sub. If you're going for more output get the options, ported box, 15" and a 1200 Watt amp. If you're gonna keep it stock, I'd get a 1000 or just a 1200. I recommend the Aq1200 as stated above or an sae1200 or saz1000 for the sub without options. Just my $.2 However you do it I'm sure you'll be satasfied as I am with mine. Good luck!

lol, i've had subs in the trunk before and it sounds like crap due to lack of deadening. i won't be deadening this vehicle because it's only temporary and i'll have another vehicle soon. What about safety and security reasons? when i had my sub in a trunk it only sounded bad outside, which i didn't hear so i didnt care nah man, it sounds bad INSIDE. lol idk, i may try in the trunk again. i'll need to drop a seat down though or it'll sound terrible.

I've never been as blown away by a sub in this price range. It's ridiculous what people will pay for a sub that's half the quality. Thanks guys, lovin the sub!!

I have a buddy that got a got a box from another friend for free and we noticed the port area after the turn at the back of the box isn't as wide as the port at the front. The first length of port is 2.5" wide, and the second length is 2". Will this cause any major difference in sound? I'm guessing it will slightly tune it less at 2" than if it was 2.5" in the 2nd length. Example:
