    D1 or D2 for a Mayhem 12" ?

well, the MTX TE4000 is rated at 3750 rms @ 1 ohm AND 2200 rms @ 2 ohm. though 2200 rms is just right for daily. though i'd still go for a single sub setup @ 1 ohm, it can push a single sub 2500 rms sub well.. just be extra careful with the gains and bass knob.. i just went for more power for more headroom since not all the time you are at 14v or above every time the bass pounds. so even though you're down to 13v or lower you're still feeding you're sub enough power.... make sure to have it level matched so only clean power goes to the amp.. this is just my preference guys

    D1 or D2 for a Mayhem 12" ?

IMO, why not get a SINGLE Mayhem 15" D2 instead? it would be simpler that way.. or go for a single 12" D2 and i think the mayhems can handle 4000 rms daily and it'll take it like a champ. its a tough driver, it sure can. you can still play loud and do demos all day without a problem, and do burps if you want to. 2 pcs 12 inchers maybe louder.. but with space constraints, a single sub in the right box would sound much better. Mayhem + 4000 rms = very happy woofer! goodluck
