Probably... Well with the L shape it should stay inside the box and not have a problem with that. No i mean the bend in the port itself, where you shape the L, because if it's a hard 90 degree angle it is harder and bad for the airflow in and out of the box, or so i am told... Pictures please. Even if it's a crappy paint drawing lol cuz everyone is confused.

Anyone know the differences between the 3HP, RE HC, and 1803 motors?

"Scott at Fi, ya know, the guy that designed them, built them, and reconed the ones I have now" Pretty sure Scott didn't fuck it up. -

I want to fully understand this too. My buddy just got some AQ HDC 15's and we're not sure what the box should be tuned to because he wants to be able to play into the low 30's and high 20's but the recommended tuning is 38hz. With research we find all kinds of people saying "even tuned at 40 they kill the lows, it's all about the box." What the hell does that mean?

What he said.

I have the same problem as you. The stock wires run in that little black tunnel lookin thing. Only thing is, you have to take off a bunch of stuff to get to that. I just ran mine out in the open since I don't mind but just look around and see if you can fish wire through there with a hanger.

Installation materials being rollers and prepping cleaner and all that shit right? What was the polyfill for, and how much MLV did you use?

LOL, And I thought I spent way too much!!! Hot damn...Does it float like a spaceship now?

im glad im not the only one! Word. I will in the morning.

Shit yeah.

What he said. I just think if you need expensive tools to tell you when your shit's about to break then hit the internet, library or whatever and do some reading or something. And yes 302, if you're clipping and can't hear it it's 100% cool as long as nothing breaks. Not everybody needs to be in the round wave club. It gets bad when you start breaking stuff.

I totally agree with what Tech and BigBoi said. You get what you give. If someone is trying to help in a sarcastic (or tough...like, cuz it damn sure ain't love) kind of way and often comes off wrong, then how can you possibly be surprised when someone says "fuck you?" If "they only want to help" then act like it. If you're ready to be blunt and not afraid to offend, then you CANNOT shy away from conflict. You can say "your shit sucks" but I can't say "go to hell" cuz then I "took it personally" right? You get back what you give, and people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks.

Nice nice to talk with your mouth full. Of DD Scrotum... Sorry I had to...

I hope that was a joke. As you can't hear the beginning of a square wave on a subwoofer. My headunit clips at 31, out of 35. And I could never hear it start at 31. It clipped at 35 regardless of what I had the sub output control on. -/+15. So on negative 15 on volume 35, it is a clipped signal, even though it doesn't put out hardly any voltage.( I can't remember the exact number.) Just a example that I've came across. I have a Kenwood X789 if anybody is wondering. If you can't hear it...and it isn't damaging anything...then what's the problem? The sub itself masks clipping up to a certain percent (can't remember off the top of my head) so you wouldn't notice anyway. Having a 10000% clip-free system isn't as cool as people make it out to be.

Well...I think one GIANT piece of the puzzle is how you say things. Say your friend's sub is out of phase and he doesn't know. (something we can all relate to) You can go over very helpfully and say, "hey man, that's wired up wrong." But of course if it's a good friend you could always say "you dipshit. That's wrong as hell" with no harm done. With those answers, there's ONLY one way to read it. Nice and helpful, and blunt and arseho-ish. But most of the time when you're typing something over the internet, it isn't at either extreme. When M5 said "Ouch someone's math is confused" he could've meant it as "you asshats. That'll sound like poopoo" or, a more friendly "oh snap bro. That's not the best way to do that." Can people tell over the intrawebz? Hell nope. The reason M5 gets that reaction so often is....almost 98% of what he says CAN BE (I won't say is or isn't because I can't always tell) taken either way. So say you have something that you think is great planned out and M5 says "Money could've been spent a little better." You take that as "you bought overpriced equipment" (because, on the surface that appears to be the same) and get defensive. At the same time he could just mean "Should've spent more on the install than the equipment" as advice and you'd never know. It's all about how you READ it. That's the whole reason he has the disclaimer in his sig, because his intrawebz voice is very brash and abrasive but I don't think he means it. Does he stir up a lot of emotions (read: shit)....hell yes. But it's not just his fault. I do think he could attempt to word things a little better and go further to explain himself but both me and him know that this is the internet and he can do whatever the hell he wants to. *didn't intentionally single out M5. Just knew that the OP was referring to the recent shitstorms that M5 appeared to be the center of.*

Fixed. ahahaha. winning. nice, and thank you sir. i try. Now that's SSA "debating". None of this petty shit.

By your own reasoning then the party that sought to disprove the designer/builder should " show" his evidence why..................... Again the 1st comment in the thread by M5 was, "Ouch, someone's math is confused. Very confused. That box will not sound good...I don't even need the Skar T/S to tell you that." Cmon bro, we get your point. M5 already said he wasn't coming back. HE ISN'T GONNA ANSWER YOU. I hate to be an all caps keyboard warrior but seriously. You said what you had to say, made your point. You can stop.
-
Besides a graph, there has been little to no evidence on either side. While the arguing is slightly entertaining, I just wanna see some numbers. I don't care if they're M5's physics or mp3pimp's "anti-physics." OJ had the glove, why can't somebody whip out some formulae or TL numbers???

It should be adjustable? What amp do you have that you need another one? -
yeah im either gunna have to do like 3-4 smaller ones or build two seperate battery boxes behind eaither seat. as for the amp i think for now its gunna be mounted to the side of the box. When you get ready to sell that SAE I AM A be all over it.....

WHAT SHOULD I POWER 2 12'S FI BTL WITH ??
An-i-no replied to Babbar Khalsa's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
why N2s? N3's have too much motor and it makes the freqency response unbalanced. You could play one song and it'll be loud as shit and with a different song (or bass note) it won't be as loud. The N2 is designed more for music, while the N3 was designed to be just loud as fuck. The N3 would be like driving a drag racer to work. It'll go fast yeah, but it won't turn, will ride horrible, and eat up gas. Sure you have a faster car than the dude with the regular Mustang GT but...cmon now. The N2 is what you want if you wanna listen to music with it. The N3 won't sound as good. -
Had to go back and read the thread again, I almost thought you guys were complimenting Steve's tool lol '
-
(Puts on heavily armored flame suit) I just read through most of it (Maliboom thread) and...I'm not feeling the whole response graph thing. I'm not feeling the whole woofer-on-paper thing either. If someone says "you'll be super loud at one freq and have stupid high rolloff" and you go meter it and show the opposite...where's the ignorance? There's too many people just trying to be right on BOTH sides.
-
Less inefficient?

the new rockford amps dont have internal fuses you have to external fuse them yourself.. This...I'm confuzzled. I don't think his amp is fused. I have no idea if that could make it run hot but idk.
