I'm always here checking in. My posting is just limited as I like to spread the wealth around the intarwebz

I want to see a lower fs. He has a new one coming out that I can't wait to hear about
-
Thats great news. Now he needs to make a good IB woofer for me and you guys can sell 8 of them to me

Unbiased speculation on the upcoming TC-SMT

Paper isn't everything, but it is a starting point. That QTS is way too low to ignore. I see no way even in the real world that this sub will work in IB applications like door sub or rear deck. I could see something as low as .3 working, even then I have my doubts, but .185!??! I just don't see it. Hopefully I will be shown otherwise when it is out and someone tests it. I will follow it. If I could glass 2 tens in my rear deck that have solid IB performance, I'd more than likely sell the brahma to get my trunk back. I am in need of a shallow to do this though, because my gas tank is mounted behind the rear seats under the deck. I have like 2.75" between the deck and tank. I could give myself up to 1.5" more with baffles on top of the deck giving me 4.25" to play with. So these shallows have been interesting to me, but most fail in some way or another. They even mention trying to market as a wall sub for home??! So maybe the paper is wrong and real world application is different. -
Unbiased speculation on the upcoming TC-SMT

QTS is way too low for what I would use it for. I am thinking of getting 2 10" Earthquake SWS for the rear deck of my goat. Just as a for the hell of it project. Then compare it to using the brahma ported in the trunk. -
we are so close that I put myself in for 16 more. Lets get this gpoing guys. Almost there

I need clarification on something. I am doing a weird wiring scheme for some tweeters, well I think I might. I have 10 tweeters that have a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. I need confirmation on the load if wired in this fashion. 3-2-2-3 By my calculation this would give me a final load of 3.75, correct? Each set is wired in series, then all 4 sets are wired in paralell.

Well I guess I will just stick to some simple 12db crossovers @ 4500 then. I will design the cabinet so I can switch out XOs and try others in there or build one specific to this appliaction.

Looks as though I may need to link him here via PM lol.

Well I just have a set of CDT Satnet 480s lying around doing nothing. I was thinking of using them in my home line array project. So yes, it is a passive setup. I am using a crap load of the NSBs that I bought quite a while ago and a good amount of 3/4" dayton tweeters.

That's what IO was thinking is that it would be lowered. I just want to make sure it wouldn't lower it too much to make it useless on a tweeter. The tweeter has a fs of 1700, so technically I can cross it at 3400 steeply and be fine in theory. So I just wanted to confirm I was lowering my point below this. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board.

Ya. I just wanted to make sure it isn't terrible to use in this instance.

It appears I am wrong then. That is not how I cam up with my answer. Thanks. I am teh ohms n00b Can you answer this question for me then? If A passive crossover is a 5th order elliptic high pass set to 4.3Khz for a 4 ohm driver, how much difference will being .4 under make? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it will screw up the transient response of the wiggle valve that feeds the intake port of speaker. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Funnay.I am not that much of teh n00b lol. I know it will affect the point at which the frequency gets attenuated, but I am not sure which way and by how much.

Truer words may have never been spoken.

Mythbusters showed that Aspartme reacted with mentos as well adding to the effect. So DIET works better not just less sticky

Oh I do hope it gets good today. I am a biut bored. On an off topic bit, somedays I really wish you'd change your avatar. I have found myslef mesmerized by her boob fondalage and stare for hours in a trance. OK maybe a slight exxageration but it does posess some kind of weird attraction ability.

I am dumber now. Thanks. Hell, I wasn't all that smart to begin with.
-
My ass. You like?

Me either. I would have beat him until just near unconsciousness, then I would find where he lives and force him to watch me rape his dog. OK OK, I wouldn't have done anything but yell a bit and call him a moron. The dog bit was a joke folks. I only rape cats and goats.

Kick ass man. I'd love to learn how to bang on the drums, but then I'd be afraid I wouldn't want to work. I'd ust want to bang on the drums all day.
