audiocity? No, this place called audio designs

I was just wondering as they could be had for about $280. Are there better offerings in that price range? I have read that the tweeter is laid back so that is a plus to me. My current alpine Type-R's just scream. I have them turned down all the way on XO and EQ'd down on my deck and they still seem too loud. Well, another option could be the bravox cs60k's they sell on here. They have been geting some great reviews. And if you can, I would try to find a place to listen to those re's just because you will know what your geting. I'm sure you probably have a dealer close by

X2, a aq 1200 d would be perfect for a bl -
I actualy just heard a pair in a local shop today! And yeah, they do sound amazing. I would buy them if I had the cash
-
Great build! Everything looks amazing

I have one of those, I would just get a router to cut holes for. The motor isn't that strong

Is it going to be a single slug motor like the xcon? -
"hey look it's the new 15.2 suround sound system!"
-
What kind of power do you have?

I have to say those aero ports work very well. I have 3 4" for my q 18". I actualy temporarily used it for my ht with 2 4" aeros tuned to 24 hz. And the q does sound amazing in ht environments. Never got to put more than 250 watts on it though. Still more than enough for my living room

Do you know where I can get information on the AA carbons? I am looking at a Peerless 6.5" and a Scan-speak 8". I have plenty of time to decide. i will be getting some t/s specs sent to my in my email that I can forward you or see If I can give them to a Mod on here to post and sticky if Fi/AA allows it. Thanks for the link but I am going to pass on these for now. Not much more! I am not planning on buying any additional amplifiers. I plan on using the Boss for the front stage. I am digging the Scan-speak 92db sensitivity! That driver looks nice, what are you going to cross it over at?

Ok, so now it's frontstage time. I originaly was going to try and put my own set of drivers together but now think maby just going with available set would be better. What do you guys think of the bravox cs60k's, been seeing allot about them here lately. Or if you guys have any other suggestions
-
It has to do with weight and mecanical limitations. A 4"coil takes up more of the spider and limets movement
-
Ok, I just want to know some of your guys experiences with t-nuts or huricain nuts, wich ones hold better? The screws I am using are not holding well in mdf so I need to get somthing stronger
-
You cold get 2 Dayton 1000 watt amps, one for each coil, but they are a little pricy
-
Just thought I'd post this build here too, it's also on homeaudioforum.com. I will be building a pair of two way floor standing speakers with an 8" woofer and a 1" dual ring radiator tweeter. The drivers i picked are the 8" usher 8137 Kevlar/carbon woofer and the vifa xt 1" ring radiator. Ok so here are some solid works designs And the order
-
If you want a 1 ohm load get a dual 2 ohm and wire it in paralel

My friend jus scored 75 feet of 1/0 OFC cable for free, I'm jelous
-
That's probably why, but ya I would just take the door panles off and mesure the hole

I hate how everyone is saying that "you should have been more cautious and looked out for the ice" but the thing is, it seems like they have never driven over black ice, you NEVER see black ice until it's to late, iv been in a similar situation. It is somthing that you never want hapening
