I have used both. Not in comparison tests but in a few installs. They both can take power well but the GCON has a 3" coil compared to the SAs 2.5" coil. The gcon also has a small Xmax advantage.

I wouldn't count on it. It may happen. SSA being a small company, they cannot afford to give away items. Last years "outrageous deals" seemed to be more of a hassle rather then a good thing.

I would choose the SSD. It does not mean it will be louder. To many variables for anyone to tell you which one would be louder.
