Looking to stop some rattles, have no sound deadening yet (pictures/56
S.DeYoung replied to hatrix's topic in Sound Deadening
NEVER recommend peel n seal for deadener, ever. OP I would recommend finding the source of your rattles and applying cld tiles in those areas. -
I bet you could fit mini horns. They are ~5.5" deep.

You want dcons in a trade? What size?
-
Thats usually how I spend my day.
-
You need a lot more port area. 10" aero MINIMUM. 95 square inches minimum for a slot port. What kind of power are you going to be running?

dcon or gcon for a small sealed enclosure?
S.DeYoung replied to nutxo's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Gcon for sealed. I do not recommend the 10" Dcon in a sealed enclosure. -
Take it to the top

Any pro box builders within 75miles of Cleveland Ohio?
S.DeYoung replied to Truconcept's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I would be willing to build you something but I am in Kalamazoo, MI which is just a little over 75 miles away. -
really its an easy fix. No need to recone the woofer. Just reattach the wire
-
Does your amplifier have a subsonic filter? Is it on? where is it set? You played below tuning and bottomed out the woofer.

Stersom... Opinions
S.DeYoung replied to KenC210's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Stersom amplifiers are awesome, Stetsom not so much -
Yes the basket does taper in quite a bit. Estimating at the bottom of the spokes looks to be roughly 10".
-
The basket width is going to be the cutout diameter that is listed on their site. That is a standard 12" basket so that height is ~3". That just leaves the magnet width.

The cobalt I used to own had that same issue, really frustrating. Last GM product I will ever own.

Wouldnt mind a tower
S.DeYoung replied to WrenchGuy1's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
I am a Mac person, so I won't be of much help. I connect a Mac mini to my TV and it works great. Piecing together a capable tower should be very affordable.
