The horns are 24w x 5.5d x 4t. They can be cut down to 12w

This is definitely user error. There must be something you are leaving out of the story.

These are the pro motors

It's really not hard. They need to mount as wide as possible ie as far to the outside as possible. Also, mounting them as far back towards the firewall as possible. Without sounding like a salesman, they are awesome drivers. My problem is other priorities and no time in my life for car audio in the foreseeable future.

The sound rolls up the dash. When installed correctly they do not sound like they are mounted low.

I can measure them for you tomorrow. There is a thread on diyma with dimensions. They can be cut down quite a bit as well.
