S.DeYoung replied to kj4jaq's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication

Maybe the car does?

If you are looking to run two woofers, look at the GCONs. Two would be perfect on the 1500
-
Is it 8 cubic feet total? Or before port?
-
Waiting for the new flatlynes

You know any specialty shop that only charges $20/hour?
-

So that port would be running under the seat? Did I miss what kind of vehicle? -
Box design - Dual 18's separate chamber

Port should be the same distance away from the hatch/seat as it is tall/wide. If you are using a slot port this is the smaller dimension of the port. -
also, that port is way to close to the hatch. He is choking those woofers

Never make a decision based off a video. I've sat in a few loud vehicles that do not show any flex on a camera
-
Yeah true, I am just trying to give an estimate of space.
-
This is a great post, you need a total budget. Woofers are just a small chunk of the budget.
-
ok so a 18x48x48Yeah that's 24 cubic feet
-
Decide on how much power you want to run. There's a huge difference between the two woofers power handling. 3000w for 4 gcons or 7000w for 4 xcons More power is going to cost you more in wire, batteries, alternators, etcetera
-
For 4 fifteens, you will want 16-20 cubic feet before port
-
I'm asking what amplifier you have?
-
Power is 3k?
-
For which subs ? your posts are all over the place. How many subs? What size? Which subs? 48x48x24 is 32 cubic feet, which is huge
-
That's 14 cubic feet total. In that space I would do two 18s. That is not the same dimensions from your first post
