S.DeYoung replied to smashedz28's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Class bd amps were patented by RF. its basically RFs class D amp. I dont think the ssf is set at 50hz. Probably more like 20hz. I cant find any info on this amp because I am only on my phone. Will look later. -
Amp to power 12" Q
S.DeYoung replied to sgreer5's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have a MB Quart DSC1500.1 for sale for $150. 1500wrms@1ohm. -
well then there you go. wait to get a better sub amplifier before you burn that nice sub up
-
Yeah definitely sounds funny on a camera mic. But it is a camera mic and most make subs sound like shit. Has the performance changed at all? Have you taken it out of the box and looked the sub over?

(2) 12" Xcons I have mine in a 4 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz and I love it.

I am looking for some also. Wondering if they are still available brand new?

Is it safe to charger two batteries while they are still in car?
S.DeYoung replied to Robert's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
If you charge them seperately you should be fine. -
If you want a nice amp for under $200 I still have a MB Quart DSC1500.1D in the for sale section for $150 with free shipping. I only used it for 2 months. It does 1500wrms @ 1ohm. I would also get (2) dual 4ohm speakers. That way you can wire them to 1ohm.

Thank you for your quick response. I have heard a couple of ht setups using the IB3 subs correctly and it is just amazing. To bad people aren't using them for what they were made for. Will they be the same subwoofer under blueprint? Or are there changes on the way? Thanks again

I have a two saz1500s strapped on my two 12" xcons. The box is 4 cubic feet tuned to 32hz. It sounds amazing. Sounds like you can go either way with what you have. I personally would choose the SAZ3500.

Dodge Durango, 2003, 4.7L V8. Stock alternator is 160amps. Wondering if you have any larger ones and/or a dual bracket. Thank You
-
Looking good. Love the all black look
-
Yes sir I do. You pay shipping and I'll ship it to you.

How are you fitting (2) 21" subwoofers in a mailbu? My durango is 44" wide, that would only give me an extra 2". I can't believe a malibu is any bigger let alone the same width? It's because you have a dodge lol No but I am walling my car behind the seats..... I have 50 Inches across maybe more. That is how I am fitting them Alright then, can't wait for the build to begin

Loving the Jag -
I have never personally owned one so I don't know how they perform long term. I have heard the SPG555PS package in a SUV and it did pretty well, can't remember what amp was powering it. I have owned Boston Acoustic products before (comps, amps, subs-g2 and g3) and I have always been impressed. I would not touch that sub for $650, maybe you can get it for a better price?

Its hardly smaller. Maybe 1.5" shorter
-
yea i could, id have to have someone else do it because i dont know how to do that stuff, how much is that going to cost me? 10ft of 0 gauge wire, wire terminals, and a fuse holder. Very simple.

I have brand new SA-12s for sale in the classified section for $150 each. I also have MB Quart DSC1500.1d amps for sale that I used for 2 months for $150 each. The amps are rated at 1500wrms @ 1ohm. Check them out.

Sundown 2000D vs. Soundstream DTR1.2200D
S.DeYoung replied to swagger_wagon468's topic in Sundown Audio
Love my Sundown amps. I have seen a few of those Soundstreams around and they look nice. I hate that it only has 4 gauge power and ground input though. My Sundowns have 0 gauge inputs and the wire fits in there nicely. Either way I think you will be happy. -

I have owned a 13w7 previously and I was not impressed especially for the price. I also hate how they have 1.5ohm coils. I built 3 different boxes for the thing and at times the bass seemed muddy with every box. Currently I own (2) 12" Xcons and I love them. I can say you will not be disappointed if you purchase the Xcon as I believe it is the far superior choice between the two.
