Fo free? You crazy. -
^^ ^^ I don't mess with craigslist for this reason. To many scammers. People flag your adds for no damn reason either.

But Aaron I want a Zcon for $50...jk. I can just imagine all the complaining going on. Thanks for all that you do!

Very nice! I have a cobalt also. Is this going to be sealed off from the trunk? Or just facing towards the back?

Same way that a 4" works fine for most 12" subs, and a single 6" for most 15" subs. As far as noise goes, you'd be surprised how little port area you can use when running an aeroport. Most people run way more port than they really need to these days. I'm not saying a 3" aero is optimal or the best way to go...just saying that it'll do the job. I'd personally run a 4" port if I could. I am going to disagree with you. Like he said noise is not really an issue since its for a boat. But the performance of that XCON will be greatly affected by such a small port. You are essentially choking the subwoofer. I would rather of stuck with the SA-10s at this point. Can you explain to me how(with a 1.25ft^3 box and a 33hz tuning) you plan on getting a 54-64" long port in there? Even in a 1.5ft^3 box and a 35hz tuning you're looking at 40-47" of port length. Thats the problem most people have when buying such a small driver with high xmax. 1.25 cubic feet turns into 2 cubic feet total size with the correct port area and length.

I am wondering how a 3" aero is okay? Especially with the power he is running? If he was running considerably less power it may work. A 3" aero is a 1/5 of the recommended minimum port area for that driver and tuning. Port noise aside he will be losing a lot of output.

Yes because that port is way to small.

You will need a bigger port for the xcon.

Definitely interested! I need another to match mine.

Pete asked me to fix the port wall that was loose. Now I have built plenty of enclosures and use Titebond Level III also. I know that you can not simply pull the seam apart, no matter how hard you try. Hell the wood will fail before the cured glue does. This was just loose, like no glue was used on joining these two pieces of wood together. I was able to fix this easily by injecting glue into the joint. The carpet job does not look good. It is not just that one seam, it is many of them. You can see where to much glue was used and bled through the carpet, which also hardens the carpet in these spots. This creates a high/low color look. There are also glue fingerprints in a couple of places. The kerf job is nice. The inside of the kerf was fiberglassed for strength. The port and kerf were painted flawlessly. These are just my thoughts. They are not meant to bash Alerion Enclosures. I wish Rick and Garrett the best in their business ventures.

Do it, even with the stock alternator. Duran beat me to it.

Good shit! What made you decide to get the crescendo amplifier?

Good luck everybody! I can't participate this time, but I hope a lot of you can.

Haha. That comment is priceless.

If you could tune a little higher it would help you. Would you be willing to go to 39-40hz? Try to get closer to your resonant frequency. -

I would stick with a regular ported box. Stick with the AAs, add more port area, and if possible add more power. -

Yes and your port area is going to be inadequate. Adding any extra objects is going to throw off tuning. -

Your best bet is to design and build a new box for the two 15s. -
