Im curious to know if my MLI-65 mids will play well from 3khz and down (with a 18db slope) Im going to pair them up with Vifa D26NC05 Tweeters thanks
-
anyone know the magnet diameter of the MLI-65?
-
thanks for the input

I am thinking about going with Seas Aluminums One more question: How big is the magnet diameter on these mids?

I was graphing the MAW-15 on winISD and it shows that the MAW-15 will do fine in a 2 cu. ft. ported box tuned to 32hz would you all recommend this? this is for someone who is looking for SQ and little group delay thanks
-
I recommend the Seas Neo tweeters

Im going to pair these up with Seas tweeters

Im pretty sure it wont work out....I tried something like this before (7" Dayton RS with this tweeter) it didnt sound right I thought the Mach5 mids would play up to 4khz without issues
-
I guess I have to get new tweeters
-
thanks that is what I was afraid of here is some info on the tweeters: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1059 FS: 1800 Hz I doubt that I will be able to cross the tweeters lower than 3khz

thanks for your reply mids on the doors...tweeters pointing towards the driver and passenger on the dash (with mounts)

UPDATE: I have the MAW15 in a 2.3 cu ft box tuned to 32hz The sub hits hard and has good response with rock and trance music...it doesnt play as low asit did in my 3.0 cu ft box (also tuned to 32hz) but Iits good enough for me SQ is good....the bass is not sloppy at all Im happy with this setup

Is 2.5 cu ft too big for a 12" RE Audio SR subwoofer? RE recommends 1.5 cu ft tuned to 35 hz. I have it in a 1.7 cu ft ported box tuned to 30 hz and it doesnt move like its suppose to. I have 400 watts RMS on it. Getting another amplifier is out of the question. I want my sub to be more efficient and have a more extended lower end. I just dont want it to sound bad (or get "boomy"). Thanks

Im still learning about ported enclsoures thanks

I thought it did...just a little

its being given 400 watts and its not moving as much as I thought it would The SR is rated at 300 watts and Ive seen videos of SRs moving alot more. Its wired to 2ohms, it sounds good and gets pretty loud. It just seems to me like this sub has more potential. So, a bigger enclosure will not make my subwoofer louder?

My friend wants to purchase my 1.8 cu ft ported enclosure tuned to 30 hz along with my MTX amplifier that is rated at 400 watts RMS. He also wants to purchase a 12" Re Audio subwoofer. Which sub would you recommend to him if he had the setup I mentioned above? Would he be underpowering the SE while reaching full potential with the SR? He is not really into SQ as I am, but he wants his bass to be loud and extremely low. Which sub would be better off with 400 watts RMS? Thanks

I have an amplifier that is rated 400 watts RMS @ 2ohms. I also have a 1.8 cu ft vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz. Is this a good match for a 12" RL-p or would I need more power? I saw that this sub is rated between 500-1000wrms. Thanks

Bringing this back from the dead lol As far as low end (30hz-40z), which subwoofer would perform better?
-
thanks guys how reliable is winISD? I was graphing this sub and it does well in the 30-40 hz range, but above that it drops (with my setup). my other options: JL 12W3 JL 12W6 Kicker CVX I want low bass with authority. Especially in the 30-50 hz region. But I want it to sound good as well.

Hello Everyone I have a 2.2 cu ft sealed enclosure (after displacement) and I was wondering if the new Mag would sound good in it. I have a PRSX720 amp that gives out 800 watts RMS @ 4 ohms thanks
