Im about to order new subs as we speak just waiting on a reply. Should i go with 2 of the ascendant audio havoc 12 inch subs or 2 of the 12 inch fi q series subs fully loaded? I know there both geared towards sq so any answer would be appreciated

well i went ahead and order the havocs i was to excited to wait any longer. I guess you can say im geared towards more sq now, i still feel like itll have some nice bass though. As for power im still needing an amo but otherwise i have already sound deadned my doors and back wall ill be changing the alternator, big 3 upgrade and a new battery or 2

I just ordered two 12" aa havoc's which are 1250 rms. What would be a good amp to run on these. I was looking at sundowns but didnt know if i shoudl wait for there new 2500 watt amp to come out or what

yes sir sorry i have so many questions i just want a good setup and had hear havocs were super qs so i placed my order today

but i think with the right amp and door speakers and everything ill have a nice sounding setup

yeah i need to get some, i can get some from walmart right? and i definately didnt pay anywhere near that price tag for it.

yeah definately forgot about an alternator, ill be getting a 220 which i think should be good enough for that. The enclosure its going in is a bassforms box. Its a quad cab dodge and this boxhttp://www.bassforms.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BF212RAM I know its a little bit smaller then i would like but im looking for more sq now then anything i know itll probably still get louder then what i have now (which is 2 kicker cvr and a cheap 1200 watt amp) all doors and back wall of the truck are dynamatted and ill probably put osme type of deadner under the carpet as well as upgrade door speakers with an amp but that will be after i buy my sub amp

Thanks for the reply, im hoping ill get a couple suggestions. Im upgrading the electrical with the big 3 upgrade and a new battery just have to find a good one first.

Has anyone ran the ascendant audio havoc series 6.5 speakers or the tweaters? Im assuming there component for the 6.5 so any input from anybody on here about there product?

Yeah i knew they were made by the same company so i know itll be good quality either way just one being there dealer line and the other being there direct. i just heard there havocs were like a "super q" and didnt know if this was true so just wondered if anyone had opinions

Well let me know how they sound when you get them. i need new speakers around and need something that can hang with the bass but when i talked to them they said 6.5 speakers and 1 " tweeters so i guess well see i just didnt know if the 249 price tag was worth it.

Alright, well i guess my main concern that im worried about is if i go with the q's will it still get as loud or louder then my cvr's with the same box .i would be upgrading the amp to a sundown just not sure which one. Ive really never messed with sq and i think it would be cool but i still want it to be equally as loud bass wise with better sq as my kickers if not louder thats my main concern holding me up

I think i will be ordering 2 of the 12' fi q's soon. My question is will these hit harder then my 2 kicker cvr's. I want something louder that hits harder but ive read the q's are more of a sq sub (which i want better sq too) so i didnt know if i should go with the Bl's or the q's My goal is louder than the kickers with better sound quality so any opinions?

If i did want to run a bl in a sealed box is that just a bad idea?

Yeah well as far as the price tag, my dad owns his own company and they were set up at the sema show in las vegas about 2 years so i got the box for $200 through a sema special i guess they were running...This was before they got big i guess and raised there prcies because theres no way i would pay that steep ass price for a box. I know the box seems small but the specs on the cvr's now show 2.8 cu ft of airspace per sub and im running them both and they hit hard, i know its no where close to the recomened space but i figured by moving down to somethin like the q that needed less space then what i have it could only improve. And the console box was just an idea i was throwing around, pretty soon it wont be my daily driver so i figured why not throw 4 12's in there if i had the chance. So im not positive ill do that it was just an idea i was throwing around .

I do plan on putting a center console box in, i heard though that if i did i would have to run the smae subs in it as the subs that i have under the seat? Dont need a in depth explination just wnated to know if i ran q's in the back could i run bl's or ssd's in the console. But anyways thats the box i just cant decide if i would be disappointed in the bass from the q's or if i should go ssd.

so will the q be louder then teh cvr but also have better sound quality? i mean i would like to have better sound quality too and i think i would want the q but i want to be able to pound when needed.

well as far as the electrical i plan on putting in a 220 alternator, a audio battery and doing the big 3 upgrade. The deck is the panasonic 7 inch flip out screen not sure of the model number, the box is a bassforms fibergalss box. All 4 doors are dynamatted as well as the back wall of the truck. My budget is really not the issue at this point but i dont want to spend 10,000 on audio ill be tearing the truck down completely including carpet and all and probably sound deadning under there also. My plan is just for something that is loud and i can shut people up when they think i dont have bass, but i want something with good sound quality because my kickers in the doors plus the subs seem to be lacking that. I hear people saying there mids and highs are crystal clear and there able to hear every instrument as if they were in the car with them and i am still lacking that. but the bass i want to be able to blend it nicely but still pound when need so i guess as much of a mix between spl and sq as can be had.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab. Currently i have 2 12" kicker cvr's powered by a ssl amp. Im planning on changing to 2 12" Fi q's and maybe the bl's. With a sundown amp along wiht components and a 4 channel amp. I will be changing the alternator and the battery also. Does anyone have any info on these subs or a better recommendation for my setup?
