I think both. The shitty cam made it worst. On the first video, it was firing inside the car, windows all up so I guess all the rattling sound got picked up by the mic.

Fi Q12 bottom sticker needs to be removed?
Blown JL12W6 replied to Blown JL12W6's topic in Fi Products
Thanks! Those old models scared me a bit. LOL! -
For those of you who owns an Fi Q12 with cooling options, did you guys removed the bottom sticker covering the magnet hole? I've seen a few pictures of Fi Q12 owners that doesn't have the bottom sticker exposing the magnet's hole. Thanks

Looks can be decieving . The JL12W6 weighs only 22 lbs. This Fi Q12 weighs 43 lbs. I even tried pushing the cone downward using 3 fingers and it wouldn't even move. I have to use both my hands to push the cone downward. Compared to my 12W6, I only use 1 finger to move the cone all the way the down. LOL! I just couldn't imagine those monster BTL, those sub can kill.

Hi guys, Im going to wire my Fi Q12 Dual 1 ohm into single 2 ohms load. What type of jumper should I use and also the gauge size number? Thanks
-
SUre will do, but it might take a few weeks. I need to find a good box maker around my area.

Just got the UPS email last Monday. Shipped/Billed On:24/05/2010 Type:Package Service:STANDARD Weight:43.00 Lbs <-------------WOW! talking about woofer on Steroids! I cant wait...

Thanks. I'll post some pics but video clips and sound clip will take while. I still have to find or design a better box for it. I have my old Bassworkx 1.7 cub ft, ported box but Im not sure if I can use that box without damaging the sub? It's just a temporary box tho. I now the required is between 1.8-3 cb ft. Can I add longer port tube to add extra volume?
-
Play these songs and video tape it: "Bass I love you" by Basstronics "Late night tip" by 3 six mafia, "Boss" by Ricky Ross, "Wetter" by Twista Then post it here so we can hear that monster sub.
-
My stock system has a 8" sub but it sounds like hammer hitting a plywood. lol! For now I just drool at those youtube videos of Q12's
-
LOL! You should have donated that woofer to me while I'm waiting for my Fi Q12. I'm dying already, car has no bass
-
That's user error then, totally different issue. The 12W6 I had was refurbished. I bought it from Ebay seller that seems a legit store that sells alot of car audio stuff. The serial number sticker outside the box was scratched off. My error for buying a high quality sub from a vendor who is not an authorized JL audio dealer.

I didn't officially weigh mine. It's just what the shipping label said. LOL Thank you, LOL! Anyways, my blown JL 12W6 only weighs 20Lbs. Wow! These Fi subs are on steroids. They also take an extra 400 to 900 rms, so it's all relative. I'm going to be trying a 13W6v2 soon, and I'll give you a review if you are looking for one. Sure, post some video clips too...The W6's subs aren't meant to be pushed too much when it comes to power handling. I guess that's the reason why JL came up with their monster W7's subs. I can't wait to get my Fi Q12. I want to match it with a clean amp about 0.1 - 0.05% T.H.D. ported or sealed? ported I wouldn't worry about what percentage Total Harmonic Distortion your amp supplies then. After turning a $400 high quality woofer into a huge paper weight, I guess I'm just being over protective now. Even if this Fi subs can take a beating. lol!
-
Wow! 4 days was so quick. What amp did you used?

WTF? How come the Fi Q10 weighs heavier than Fi Q12?
-
I'm also from Canada and waiting for my Fi Q12. I just ordered mine last monday. I can't stand listening to music inside my car without a sub. Damn! JL 12W6 gave up on me after a year.
-
Hi Nick, I'm from Canada too and I just ordered 1 Fi Q12, I was trying to call this number 702-279-158, but no one is answering. After I called again, a lady picked up saying I dialed the wrong number...WTF?
